CardAdvisor is not a company. It is a personal project, written and run by one person outside working hours, funded by nobody. There is no team and no investors.
Since September 2026 some of the underlying work — the redemption engine, the change record, the model behind each rating — is available to license. That page lists first what no one can buy: placement, influence over rankings or verdicts, and leads.
I built it because I got tired of “best card” lists that turned out to be sponsored placements. It helps people in India choose the right credit card — and build a portfolio that works together — based on how they actually spend. Every card is scored on estimated annual ₹ value, fees and fit across your spending, travel and reward goals using one transparent, published algorithm — with wallet gap-analysis and first-hand reviews from someone who has carried these cards for over a decade. No paid placements, ever.
What I promise
- Unbiased. Rankings are algorithmic. No paid placements, ever.
- Transparent. I show the math behind every recommendation.
- Private. The recommender needs no account and stores no sensitive PII.
How it works
The scoring engine weighs the net annual value a card is genuinely worth to you in rupees, then reward-type fit, eligibility confidence, and card quality — then filters for diversity so you see real choice. Card data is reviewed regularly and dated.
How to check my work
I would rather you verified this than trusted it. Everything about how CardAdvisor operates is public:
- Methodology — the exact scoring engine, every weight and filter, published in full.
- Editorial policy — our sources, who writes and reviews, and how (and how little) we use AI.
- How we make money — our funding, and the commitments that keep it from touching the rankings.
