These figures are CardAdvisor's own estimates, computed by our valuation engine — not values the banks publish or endorse. Most issuers never state what a point is worth; where they do, it is usually the lowest (statement-credit) route. We value each currency by redemption method — cash/statement credit, gift voucher, the issuer's travel portal, and airline/hotel transfer. The default route is the value a typical user realistically gets; the best route is the ceiling (usually a transfer). Transfer value = ratio × the partner's realistic worth: we hold airline miles at a baseline of ₹1, marking down low-value budget-airline currencies that only pay down fares. Hotel points are valued per programme rather than at one rate, because they differ far more than airline miles do — Accor ALL at ₹2 (a reward night prices in cash-equivalent points), Marriott Bonvoy at ₹0.60, and heavily-diluted programmes such as Hilton Honors at ₹0.35. Only a single, direct transfer is counted: multi-hop routes exist and can be worth more, but they are slower, irreversible, and happen in your loyalty account rather than the bank's portal — so they never inflate a card's headline value here. All figures are best-feasible estimates for the Indian market (2026), not contractual or guaranteed rates.
