Bank of Baroda Credit Cards
A broad value-focused range issued by BOBCARD — Reward Points, the Eterna at the premium end, and practical co-brands for fuel and rail.

Bank of Baroda is one of India's largest public-sector banks, and its credit cards are issued through BOBCARD Ltd (formerly BOB Financial), the bank's dedicated card arm. That lineage shapes the whole range: these are value-first cards, low on fee and priced for the mass market, with the odd genuinely strong earner tucked inside. If you already bank with BoB, the pitch is simple — an entry card whose fee is waived on modest spend, a flagship online earner in the Eterna, and a rare women-focused premium card in the Tiara. This is the full Bank of Baroda credit card line-up, how the reward points actually convert to rupees, and where these cards win against the private banks.
What makes Bank of Baroda different
A public-sector value play, not a perks arms race. BoB doesn't try to out-perk HDFC or Axis on concierge and unlimited lounges. Instead it leans on low fees and low waiver bars — the entry cards clear their annual fee at just ₹35,000–₹70,000 of spend — so most steady users effectively hold them free. It's the honest, low-cost option for someone who wants rewards without fee-management stress.
A genuinely strong flagship earner in the Eterna. The bob eterna credit card is the standout: 15 reward points per ₹100 (~3.75%) on online, travel and dining, plus unlimited domestic lounge access and a low 2% forex markup. Its ₹2,499 fee waives at ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend, and the joining fee is reversed on ₹25,000 of spend in the first 60 days.
How the rewards work
- Earning — accelerated 5X categories (dining, travel, online, international) on the reward cards, with a modest 1–3 points per ₹100 base rate on everything else.
- Bank of Baroda reward points value in rupees — roughly ₹0.25 per point on the premium and co-brand cards (Eterna, Tiara, Premier, IRCTC), and about ₹0.20 on the RuPay entry cards (Select, Easy). That's the number that turns a headline "15X" into a real ~3.75% return.
- Caps matter — the accelerated earn is capped (Eterna and Tiara share ~5,000 points a cycle; the bob premier 5X is capped at 2,000 points a month), so these reward best at moderate category spend, not unlimited.
- Redemption — statement credit, the BOBCARD rewards catalogue (vouchers, merchandise), or travel bookings via the issuer portal. The bob irctc card also converts points to IRCTC Travel Points.
- The catch — BoB's rewards portal and partner network lag the private banks, so extracting full point value takes more effort than earning it.
The range
| Tier | Cards | Annual fee | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry (RuPay/UPI) | Easy | ₹500 (waived ₹35k) | First card, movies/groceries, UPI |
| Mid | Premier, Select, IRCTC | ₹350–₹999 | Category earn, rail travel |
| Premium | Eterna, Tiara | ₹2,499 (waived ₹2.5L) | Online/travel earn + lounges |
The bob tiara deserves special mention: a women-exclusive premium card whose defining feature is a real women's health package — complimentary Pap smear, blood tests and mammography vouchers plus ₹10 lakh personal-accident cover — layered on top of the same ~3.75% dining/travel earn and unlimited domestic lounges as the Eterna.
Bank of Baroda vs SBI and RBL
| Dimension | Bank of Baroda | SBI | RBL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fees | Low, low waiver bars | Mid, waiver-conditioned | Low-to-mid |
| Flagship earn | Eterna ~3.75% online/travel | Cashback / ELITE range | Varied co-brands |
| Point value | ~₹0.20–₹0.25 | ~₹0.25 | ~₹0.25 |
| RuPay/UPI cards | Strong (Easy, Select) | Growing | Some |
| Rewards portal | Weakest of the three | Broader catalogue | Mid |
The read: BoB wins on low fees, RuPay/UPI reach and the Eterna's flat online earn, and loses on portal maturity and premium perk depth. For a wider co-brand catalogue or a stronger flat cashback card, an SBI or RBL card is often the better instrument.
Who it suits
Bank of Baroda cards suit existing BoB customers, value-conscious first-timers, and moderate category spenders who want a low-fee card they'll rarely pay for. The Eterna is a real pick for online and travel spenders who will clear its ₹2.5 lakh fee waiver, while the Tiara is for women who want health benefits alongside their rewards. They're a weaker fit if you want a deep transfer-partner ecosystem or unlimited premium lounges. Our no annual fee cards guide shows where the low-fee BoB range lands against the wider market.

The BOBCARD Etihad Guest Premium doubles every earn rate of its junior sibling and, far more interestingly, charges 0% forex markup. It pays 6 Etihad Guest Miles per ₹100 on Etihad Airways and 2 Miles per ₹100 on all other domestic and cross-border spend — roughly 3% and 1% at a realistic ~50 paise a mile. Miles are not a flexible currency: they sweep automatically into your Etihad Guest account within 3 days of each statement and redeem only through Etihad Guest, so there is no statement credit or voucher route. The status story is the best part of the proposition — complimentary Etihad Guest Silver on your first card transaction, upgrading to Gold once you make a transaction on Etihad.com within six months of issuance. A bonus ladder adds 500 Miles a month on four transactions totalling ₹50,000, 4,000 Miles a quarter on ₹3 lakh, 24,000 Miles a year on ₹12 lakh, and 1,000 Miles for flying Etihad twice in a year. Lounge access is 12 domestic (3 per quarter) and 8 international (2 per quarter) visits. The ₹5,000 fee waives at ₹5 lakh of annual spend and the finance charge is 3.75%/month.
Why it stands out A genuine 0% forex markup at a ₹5,000 fee, plus 6 Miles per ₹100 on Etihad, Etihad Guest Silver on your first swipe and a route to Gold — the forex is the headline, the miles are the loyalty play
Best suited for For the frequent international traveller who wants a zero-forex card that also builds airline status — especially anyone routing through Abu Dhabi on Etihad. The 0% markup makes it a credible everyday overseas card on its own merits; the Gold tier path is the reason to prefer it over a plain zero-forex card.

The BOB Tiara is a premium credit card issued exclusively to women, and its defining feature is a women's health package — complimentary vouchers for a Pap smear, blood tests and mammography, though the ₹10 lakh accidental death cover that came with it was withdrawn for cards issued from 15 July 2026, and ends for existing holders on 25 August 2026. On rewards it earns 15 reward points per ₹100 (~3.75%) on dining, travel and international spends (5X, capped 5,000 points per cycle) and 3 RP/₹100 elsewhere, with a 2% forex markup. It carries unlimited domestic lounge access (on ₹75,000 of prior-quarter spend; no international lounge), a choice of Amazon Prime or JioHotstar plus Gaana Plus and a 3-month Swiggy One membership, and a quarterly voucher stack — ₹500 each on Myntra, Nykaa and Flipkart, ₹1,500 at Lakmé Salon and ₹250 on Big Basket (vouchers are for the primary cardholder only). The ₹2,499 fee waives at ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend (joining reversed on ₹25,000 in 60 days).
Why it stands out Women-exclusive premium card with a free women's health package (Pap smear, blood tests, mammography), ~3.75% on dining/travel/international and unlimited domestic lounges
Best suited for For women who want a premium card pairing a genuine health-benefits package with a strong dining/travel earn and unlimited domestic lounge access.

BOB Eterna is Bank of Baroda's premium rewards card, and a strong online earner: 15 reward points per ₹100 (~3.75% at ₹0.25/point) on online, travel, dining and international spends (subject to a shared 5,000 RP/month cap on the accelerated earn), and 3 RP/₹100 elsewhere. It costs ₹2,499 to join, reversed on ₹25,000 of spend in the first 60 days, and ₹2,499 a year, waived on ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend; applicants need ₹12 lakh of annual income. It carries unlimited domestic lounge access (on ₹75,000 of prior-quarter spend), a low 2% forex markup, a ₹5 lakh → 20,000-point milestone, and a 10,000-point welcome benefit (~₹2,500) on ₹50,000 spend within 60 days. It is available on the Visa, Mastercard and RuPay networks. Heads-up: BOBCARD's 15 July 2026 revision raised the free-lounge threshold from ₹40,000 to ₹75,000/quarter, withdrew the complimentary insurance covers, and set the finance charge at 3.75%/month. Still one of the better-value premium cards for steady online and travel spenders.
Why it stands out ~3.75% (15 RP/₹100) on online, travel, dining and international spends, unlimited domestic lounges and a 2% forex markup, for a ₹2,499 fee that waives at ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend
Best suited for For steady online, travel, dining and international spenders who want a high flat-category earn and unlimited domestic lounges, who will clear the ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend that waives the fee.

The BOBCARD Etihad Guest is the junior of BOBCARD's two Etihad co-brands, and it is built for one airline rather than for everyday earning. It pays 3 Etihad Guest Miles per ₹100 on Etihad Airways and 1 Mile per ₹100 on every other domestic and cross-border spend. At a realistic ~50 paise a mile that base rate is roughly 0.5% — genuinely thin for a ₹2,500 card, and the number to weigh before anything else. The miles are not a flexible currency: they sweep automatically into your Etihad Guest account within 3 days of each statement and can only be redeemed through Etihad Guest, so there is no statement credit, no voucher catalogue and no transfer out. A bonus ladder sits on top — 250 Miles a month on four transactions totalling ₹25,000, 2,000 Miles a quarter on ₹2 lakh, 12,000 Miles a year on ₹7.5 lakh, and 500 Miles for flying Etihad twice in a year. Etihad Guest Silver tier is available but is not automatic: it needs a transaction on Etihad.com within six months of card issuance. Lounge access runs to 8 domestic (2 per quarter) and 4 international (1 per quarter) visits a year. The ₹2,500 fee waives at ₹3 lakh of annual spend, forex is 1%, and the finance charge is 3.75%/month.
Why it stands out Entry point into Etihad Guest — 3 Miles per ₹100 on Etihad and a 1% forex markup, but only 1 Mile per ₹100 (~0.5%) everywhere else, so it earns its ₹2,500 fee only if you actually fly Etihad
Best suited for For someone who already flies Etihad out of India often enough to redeem on Etihad metal, wants miles landing in their Etihad Guest account without any transfer admin, and will put their Etihad ticket spend on the card. If you fly Etihad rarely, the 0.5% base earn makes this an expensive way to collect miles you may struggle to use.

The CMA One BOBCARD is gated: it is offered only to active members of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI). If you are not an ICMAI member you cannot apply, whatever your income or credit score. For members who can, it is an unusually well-equipped near-free card — a token ₹1 joining fee, no annual fee ever, a 2% foreign-currency markup where most of the BOBCARD range charges 3.5%, 12 complimentary domestic lounge visits a year, and free professional indemnity cover up to ₹5 lakh. Earning is the modest part: 1 reward point per ₹100 (about 0.25%) on most spends, and 5 points per ₹100 (about 1.25%) on dining, online and utility bills under a single 1,000-point-per-statement cap shared across all three categories. The bigger lever is the quarterly milestone — 4,000 bonus points, roughly ₹1,000, for every quarter you spend ₹1 lakh. The card is issued on both the Mastercard and RuPay rails; the RuPay variant is UPI-linked. Read the exclusions closely: fuel, groceries, rent, education, government and insurance payments earn nothing at all.
Why it stands out A ₹1 joining fee, no annual fee, 2% forex and 12 domestic lounge visits — but only ICMAI members can apply
Best suited for For practising Cost Accountants who want a near-free card with a low forex markup and some lounge access, and who spend enough on dining, online and utilities to use the 5X cap — plus ₹1 lakh a quarter to trigger the milestone.

For members who can, it is an unusually well-equipped free card — zero joining and annual fee, a 2% foreign-currency markup where most of the BOBCARD range charges 3.5%, 12 complimentary domestic lounge visits a year, and free professional indemnity cover up to ₹5 lakh. Earning is the modest part: 1 reward point per ₹100 (about 0.25%) on most spends, and 5 points per ₹100 (about 1.25%) on dining, online and utility bills under a single 1,000-point-per-statement cap shared across all three categories. The bigger lever is the quarterly milestone — 3,999 bonus points, very close to ₹1,000, for every quarter you spend ₹1 lakh. The card is issued on a RuPay (UPI-linked) rail; BOB does not publish the non-RuPay network. Read the exclusions closely: fuel, groceries, rent, education, government and insurance payments earn nothing at all.
Why it stands out Lifetime-free with a 2% forex markup and 12 domestic lounge visits — but only ICSI members can apply

The BOBCARD Cashback is Bank of Baroda's dedicated flat-cashback card, built around one simple promise: 5% back on eligible domestic online spends, capped at ₹1,500 a month, and an unlimited 1% on every other spend. The accelerated 5% needs a minimum of 4 transactions in the statement cycle. The cashback is credited automatically to the statement each month — there are no points to track or redeem. The fee is flexible: either ₹49 a month or a ₹499 joining-and-annual plan, switchable once in the card's life. A 1% fuel-surcharge waiver applies on transactions of ₹400–₹5,000 (max ₹250 a statement cycle). Cashback excludes fuel, ATM cash, quasi-cash, transactions below ₹100 and the select merchant categories of the Feature T&C's Annexure 1 — which names wallet-load MCCs among them — and there is no lounge access; this is a pure everyday cashback card.
Why it stands out A flat-cashback card — 5% back on domestic online spends (capped ₹1,500/month) and an unlimited 1% on everything else, auto-credited to the statement every month.
Best suited for For online-first everyday spenders who want cashback credited automatically without minimum redemption thresholds or reward-point maths. The ₹1,500/month 5% cap suits roughly ₹30,000 of monthly online spend; beyond that the 1% base takes over.

The IRCTC BOBCARD (RuPay) is a railway co-brand for frequent train travellers. On IRCTC AC-class (1AC/2AC/3AC/CC/EC) train tickets it earns 16 reward points per ₹100 (~4% at ₹0.25/point) as the standard rate, rising to 40 RP per ₹100 (~10%) only during two promotional windows a year — 15 January–31 March and 15 July–15 September. Via the BOBCard SmartDeal portal it earns 8 RP per ₹100 (~2%) on flights and 20 RP per ₹100 (~5%) on hotels. Everyday spends earn 4 RP per ₹100 (~1%) on departmental stores (capped at 1,000 points a month) and 2 RP per ₹100 (~0.5%) elsewhere, including UPI. Being a RuPay card it links to UPI apps. It adds up to 4 complimentary railway lounge visits a year (max 1/quarter), a 1% railway transaction surcharge waiver, and 500 bonus reward points on ₹5,000 of spend in the first 60 days. The fee is ₹500 joining + ₹350 annual. Reward points convert to IRCTC Travel Points (4 RP = 1 Travel Point) or cashback at ₹0.25/point. The ~10% headline is seasonal, so the card's real value tracks the ~4% standard rate and how much you book by rail.
Why it stands out RuPay/UPI rail co-brand — 16 RP/₹100 (~4%) standard on IRCTC AC-class train bookings, rising to 40 RP/₹100 (~10%) in two seasonal promo windows, plus railway lounge access and a railway transaction surcharge waiver
Best suited for Frequent train travellers who book AC-class tickets on IRCTC and want railway-booking rewards plus railway lounge access — with UPI on a RuPay rail. The headline 40 RP rate is seasonal, so it suits regular rail travellers rather than occasional ones.

BOB Premier is Bank of Baroda's mid-tier rewards card: 10 reward points per ₹100 (~2.5% at ₹0.25/point) on travel, dining and international spends — a 5X accelerator capped at 2,000 points a month — and 2 RP/₹100 elsewhere. It costs ₹1,000 to join, reversed on ₹10,000 of spend in the first 60 days, and ₹1,000 a year, waived on ₹1.2 lakh of annual spend. It includes one airport lounge visit per quarter on ₹20,000 of prior-quarter spend. A solid category card for Bank of Baroda customers who travel and dine out.
Why it stands out ~2.5% (10 RP/₹100) on travel, dining and international (5X, capped 2,000 pts/month), for a ₹1,000 fee that waives at ₹1.2 lakh of annual spend
Best suited for For Bank of Baroda customers who spend on travel, dining and international and want a low-fee category earner, and who will put about ₹10,000 a month on it to keep the annual fee waived.

BOBCARD Select sits between the ₹500 Easy and the ₹1,000 Premier, and the honest way to read it is by what it swaps rather than what it earns. Its base rate — 1 reward point per ₹100 — is identical to Easy's; what ₹250 more buys is a different pair of 5X categories: dining (MCC 5812) and online, in place of Easy's departmental stores and movies. Premier, for ₹250 more again, gives 2 RP/₹100 base plus lounge access, which Select does not have at all. The 5X earn is 5 RP per ₹100 (~1% once you price a BOBCARD point at its official ₹0.20) and is capped at 1,000 points per statement cycle SHARED across both categories — so the accelerator stops after about ₹20,000 of combined dining and online spend each month, worth at most ₹2,400 a year against a ₹750 fee. UPI and utility spends are excluded from the 5X rate.
Why it stands out BOBCARD Easy's engine with dining and online swapped in as the 5X categories, for ₹250 more — 5 RP/₹100 (~1%) on those two, capped at 1,000 points a cycle
Best suited for An existing Bank of Baroda customer whose dining and online spend lands near ₹20,000 a month — that is exactly where the 1,000-point cap bites, and beyond it you are earning the same 0.2% as the cheaper Easy. If your spend is well under that, Easy costs ₹250 less for the same base rate; if you want lounge access, only Premier has it.

The HPCL ENERGIE BOBCARD is a fuel co-brand built around one merchant. At eligible HPCL retail outlets — including LPG and the HP Pay app — it earns 24 reward points per ₹150 (~4% at ₹0.25/point), and adds a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions between ₹400 and ₹5,000 (capped ₹100 a statement), which is where BOBCARD's "up to 5% savings" headline comes from. Both the accelerated points and the surcharge waiver apply only at HPCL outlets on the eligible merchant list that HPCL shares with BOBCARD — a restriction tightened with effect from 15 July 2026, so a pump outside that list earns nothing extra. Utility bills and departmental stores earn 10 RP per ₹150 (~1.7%), and everything else just 2 RP per ₹150 (~0.3%). Each accelerated tier is capped at 1,000 reward points a statement, so the 4% fuel rate stops at about ₹6,250 of HPCL spend a month. It is issued only on RuPay, so it links to UPI apps. Fees are ₹499 joining and ₹499 annual, waived at ₹50,000 of anniversary-year spend.
Why it stands out Fuel co-brand on a RuPay/UPI rail — 24 RP per ₹150 (~4% at ₹0.25/point) at eligible HPCL outlets, plus a 1% HPCL fuel surcharge waiver and quarterly domestic lounge access
Best suited for Drivers who consistently refuel at HPCL pumps and can keep monthly fuel spend near the ₹6,250 cap. The card pays well inside that lane and poorly outside it, so it works as a dedicated fuel card alongside a stronger everyday earner.

BOBCARD Easy is Bank of Baroda's entry-level rewards card for first-time and lower-spend users, available on RuPay (as well as Visa/Mastercard) so it can be linked to UPI apps. It earns 5 reward points per ₹100 (~1% at ₹0.20/point) on movies and departmental stores, and 1 RP per ₹100 (~0.2%) on everything else, with a ₹500 fee that waives at just ₹35,000 of annual spend (joining fee waived on ₹6,000 in 60 days). It carries a 1% fuel surcharge waiver (₹400–₹5,000, max ₹250/cycle) and a minimum credit limit of ₹25,000. The earn is modest at ₹0.20/point, but as a free-to-keep first card with UPI it does its job.
Why it stands out Entry-level RuPay/UPI rewards card — 5 RP/₹100 (~1%) on movies and departmental stores, with a low ₹35,000 fee-waiver bar
Best suited for First-time card users and lower-spend Bank of Baroda customers who want a simple RuPay rewards card with UPI and an easy fee waiver. Higher spenders should look at a flat-cashback card.

BOBCARD Prime is a secured card: it is issued against a fixed deposit of ₹30,000 or more, with guaranteed issuance and no income proof required — the deposit is the security, so approval does not depend on a salary slip or an existing credit history. BOBCARD states issuance is guaranteed except for CIBIL-delinquent applicants. It carries zero joining and zero annual fees, which is what makes it usable as a long-term credit-building tool rather than a card you abandon when a fee lands. The earn is deliberately plain: 2 reward points per ₹100 on all categories, and Bank of Baroda prices a Prime point at ₹0.20 for cashback — so the real return is about 0.4%. Fuel earns no reward points at all, though a 1% fuel surcharge waiver applies. It is issued only on RuPay, so it links to UPI apps, and the age window is unusually wide at 18 to 85. Treat this as a credit-builder with a free rail to UPI, not a rewards card.
Why it stands out A genuinely free secured card — guaranteed issuance against a fixed deposit of ₹30,000 or more with no income proof, on a RuPay/UPI rail
Best suited for People building or rebuilding credit — thin-file applicants, students, retirees, the newly self-employed — who can park ₹30,000 in a fixed deposit and want a card that costs nothing to hold while a credit history forms.

The Snapdeal BOBCARD is a single-merchant co-brand on a ₹249 fee. On the Snapdeal website and app it earns 20 reward points per ₹100 — about 5% at ₹0.25/point — and BOBCARD markets this tier as unlimited, with no stated statement cap. Online shopping and departmental stores earn 10 RP per ₹100 (~2.5%), capped at 2,000 reward points a statement, and everything else earns 4 RP per ₹100 (~1%), which is a genuinely strong base rate for an entry card. It is issued only on RuPay, so it links to UPI apps, though UPI spends earn only the core rate and are excluded from the activation benefit and bonus points. The welcome offer is Snapdeal vouchers worth up to ₹500 on card usage within 30 days plus 500 bonus reward points on ₹5,000 of spend in 60 days. The catch is the fee: ₹249 joining and ₹249 annual with no waiver and no reversal at any spend level, so this card never becomes free. Fuel earns no reward points at all.
Why it stands out Low-fee RuPay/UPI co-brand — 20 RP per ₹100 (~5% at ₹0.25/point) on Snapdeal with no cap, and an unusually strong 4 RP per ₹100 (~1%) base rate
Best suited for Regular Snapdeal shoppers who will clear the ₹249 annual fee in rewards, and anyone who wants a cheap RuPay/UPI card with a 1% base rate. If you do not shop on Snapdeal, the base rate alone has to justify a fee that never waives.
