If you hold this card: If you already hold a OneCard, nothing changes: your credit line, the 5X top-two-categories reward mechanic, and your accumulated points all continue as before. Servicing moved to BOBCARD, which is where you now manage the card.
New issuance across OneCard’s partner banks was reported paused from late 2025 pending a regulator-appointed audit, and it has not visibly resumed. Neither OneCard nor any partner bank has published a closure or pause notice, so you will see this argued both ways — the OneCard app and website still invite applications.
How we checked — last verified 28 September 2026
We compared BOBCARD’s own product pages against each other rather than trusting a marketing CTA. On BOBCARD’s OneCard page the apply control has been replaced with “Manage One BOBCARD”, linking to the servicing portal. On BOBCARD’s Uni GoldX page — same bank, same page template, same CMS field — the control still reads “Apply Now” and links to a live application. A bank that had simply forgotten to update a page would not have changed one and not the other.
We re-check this and will lift the notice as soon as the card is open to new applicants again. If you find it back on the issuer's application flow before we do, tell us — a human reads everything.
In-depth review
OneCard Credit Card
A lifetime-free metal card with a superb app, an auto-adapting 5X engine and a low 1% forex markup — the default answer when anyone wants a free metal card. The rewards underneath are more modest than the polish suggests (and a 2025 trim made them slightly more so). Buy it for the metal, the app and the forex; keep a major-bank card around for disputes.

The 5X now requires ₹750 or more in each of three categories a month, bills and utilities stopped earning on 29 August 2026, and support runs through the app rather than a branch network, so dispute resolution is slower than a major bank's — design excellence, operational adequacy.

Scapia Credit Card
Genuinely disruptive — it took zero-forex markup and unlimited lounge access, once locked behind ₹3,000–₹50,000 fees and income bars, and gave them away free to anyone in a slick app. For young international travellers, the easiest "yes" in the market. February 2026 brought its first real devaluation, gating the lounge access behind ₹20,000/month spend and trimming reward categories. The core magic survives; the "no catch" era is over.
Bank of Baroda Premier Credit Card
Covers the categories it accelerates — dining, travel, international — at a rate that's fair but forgettable. The sensible default for a Bank of Baroda account holder who wants a mid-tier card without leaving the bank; unremarkable for anyone else. Its ₹1,000 fee is waived at ₹1.2 lakh of annual spend, so a regular user keeps it for nothing.
AU LIT Credit Card
India's most genuinely novel card — a fully modular, build-your-own-benefits product where you toggle features on and off each quarter via the AU 0101 app. For the engaged user who actively manages it, it extracts real, tailored value. For the set-and-forget majority, it quietly delivers one of the weakest default rates in the market. The 2024 devaluation shrank the menu it depends on. Get it only if you'll genuinely manage it.
IndusInd Bank Tiger Credit Card
An underrated pick — one of the more interesting lifetime-free travel cards in India: domestic and international lounge access, a low 1.5% forex markup, golf and a fuel-surcharge waiver, all for a fee of exactly zero. The rewards are the weak part and are widely misdescribed: they climb through an incremental annual-spend ladder that starts at 1 point per ₹100, so 0.40% on the first ₹1 lakh and 2.40% only on spend beyond ₹5 lakh.
Fi-Federal Credit Card
Discontinued. The Federal–Fi co-branded credit card programme — MagniFi, AmpliFi and SimpliFi — was wound down effective 20 March 2026: reward accruals stopped, and Fi and Federal Bank asked holders to clear dues and close their cards. The slick app integration was always the real draw and the economics always ordinary; in the end the fintech-card volatility this review long flagged is exactly what shut it. If you still hold one, move your spending to a stable issuer.
Best Cashback Credit Cards in India 2026: Top Picks for Straightforward Returns
The best cashback credit cards in India deliver 2–5% back on everyday categories without requiring you to manage points or transfer programmes. SBI Cashback leads for online spend; the Axis ACE — now closed to new applicants — remains the bills-and-recharges benchmark for those who hold it; HDFC Millennia bridges the gap.

Late payment charges raised

From 11 October 2026 BOBCARD raises the OneCard's late payment charges. When ₹1,001 to ₹5,000 is outstanding the charge goes from ₹500 to ₹700; the single ₹1,000 slab for ₹5,001 to ₹25,000 is split into ₹1,000 up to ₹10,000, ₹1,100 up to ₹15,000 and ₹1,200 up to ₹25,000; and above ₹25,000 it goes from ₹1,250 to ₹1,300. Balances up to ₹1,000 are unchanged, and the charge applies only when the minimum amount due is not paid by the due date.

Bills and utilities stop earning reward points
1 point per ₹50, eligible for 5X→No reward points and no 5X
From 29 August 2026 BOBCARD's terms for the OneCard stop reward points on bills and utilities, and those payments no longer count towards the 5X on your top two categories either. Until then they earned the base 1 point per ₹50 and could earn 5X, within a 25,000-point ceiling on 5X shared with education and insurance. Phone, electricity and other bill payments made with the card now earn nothing.

New issuance paused across OneCard's partner banks
Open to new applicants→Paused for new applicants (existing cardholders unaffected)
New OneCard issuance across its partner banks was reported paused from December 2025 while the regulator reviewed data-sharing arrangements, with an audit firm appointed later, and it has not visibly resumed. Neither OneCard nor any partner bank has published a pause notice, so the month is approximate. BOBCARD's own OneCard page now offers only a link to manage an existing card, while the same bank's Uni GoldX page still takes applications. Existing cardholders keep the card and all of its benefits.

5X now requires spending across three categories
5X applied to top-2 categories on any qualifying spend→5X applies only if you spend at least ₹750 in each of three or more categories in the month
OneCard tightened the OneRewards 5X rule: the elevated rate on your top two categories now unlocks only when you spend a minimum of ₹750 in at least three different categories within the calendar month. In Education, Bills & Utilities and Insurance the extra 5X points stop once rewards in those categories reach 25,000 points; BOBCARD's terms state no period for that limit. A modest trim to an already-thin base earn.
