The Axis Burgundy Private Credit Card (“The One Card”) is issued only to Axis Burgundy Private banking clients — it cannot be applied for on its own. It is complimentary with the Burgundy Private relationship (otherwise ₹1,00,000 a year since 1 September 2026, up from ₹50,000), and if that relationship ends the card converts to the one matching your downgraded account.
How to get an invitation
- Become an Axis Burgundy Private client. This is the only route — the card is a benefit of the Burgundy Private wealth relationship, not a standalone product.
- Meet the Burgundy Private relationship bar. Axis sets this by total relationship value across deposits, investments and assets (commonly cited around ₹5 crore) — speak to an Axis wealth manager about qualifying.
- Consolidate your banking and investments with Axis to reach and maintain the Burgundy Private tier; the card is issued automatically once you qualify.
What issuers look for
- Axis Burgundy Private banking relationship (≈₹5 crore total relationship value)
- Fee ₹1,00,000 (from 1 September 2026; ₹50,000 before) — waived for Burgundy Private clients
- Card is tied to the relationship; it downgrades if the relationship lapses

- Super Premium tier — built for high spenders who want top-end perks.
- Strongest value if you spend heavily on everyday spends (6% back).
- Frequent travellers benefit from the included airport lounge access.
Pros & cons
✓ Pros
- Nil forex markup and no cash-withdrawal advance fee (rare on an Indian card, though shared with Axis's other super-premium cards), and no interest on a cash withdrawal until the payment due date
- ₹1,00,000 fee waived for Burgundy Private clients, so the card is effectively free to hold for its target user
- Unlimited domestic and international lounge access for primary and add-on cardholders, with 12 guest visits
- Complimentary Club Marriott, Accor Plus, Taj Epicure and EazyDiner Prime memberships, plus up to 50 golf rounds a year
✕ Cons
- Issued only to Axis Burgundy Private banking clients — not available to the general public
- Base earn of 15 points per ₹200 needs partner transfers to reach its headline value; statement redemption is far lower
- Fuel, utilities and telecom, government payments, gold/jewellery and EMI-converted spends earn no reward points; rent does earn, but only to ₹1,00,000 a month, and insurance is capped at 6,000 points a month
- Since 20 December 2024 a 1% fee applies on cumulative wallet loads over ₹10,000, fuel over ₹50,000, utilities over ₹25,000, third-party education payments and online skill-based gaming over ₹10,000 per statement cycle
- Axis doubled the standalone fee to ₹1,00,000 on 1 September 2026 for holders whose relationship value falls below ₹5 crore; it stays nil for clients who hold the tier, so it bites only on the way out
Eligibility
Axis Bank publishes no eligibility criteria for this card — no minimum income, no age band, no credit-score floor, and no document checklist. That is not an oversight on our part: the card is issued strictly by invitation, there is no public application form, and so there is nothing to qualify for in the usual sense. Any income or score level in the panel above is indicative of the profile the bank extends the card to, not a threshold it states, and the same goes for any salary figure quoted for it elsewhere.
What actually decides an invitation is the relationship behind it — balances held with the bank, spend on an existing card, and the banking segment you sit in. We set those signals out in how to get an invitation above, labelled for what they are: observed patterns, not published criteria.
How to redeem rewards
Ways to convert what you earn into real value.
- 🎁Partner transfer: convert EDGE Reward Points 5:4 to Axis's 24 airline and hotel partners — the best ratio on any Axis card. (Variable — up to ~6% on premium redemptions)
- 🎁Axis EDGE portal: redeem EDGE Reward Points for flights, hotels, vouchers and products. (₹0.20/point standard)
- 🎁Statement credit / Pay with Points on eligible spends. (Lowest value)
What your Axis EDGE Reward Points are worth
Realistic value per point by redemption route — the difference is what most people leave on the table.

Flights & hotels
Reserve/Magnus 5 EDGE RP → 2 partner miles (₹1/mile ⇒ ₹0.40/pt); Burgundy Private 5:4 (₹0.80/pt) uniformly; Select/Privilege/Rewards 10:1 on most partners but 5:1 on AirAsia and SpiceJet. British Airways, Finnair, IndiGo BluChip, Lotusmiles, Qatar, Accor & Asia Miles sit a rung worse (5:1) on Reserve/Magnus and the Atlas family — but the SAME on Burgundy Private, Select/Privilege/Rewards and IOCL Premium, so this is not a blanket rule. Min 300 EDGE RP; most transfers land in 3 business days, a few take 10.

You cannot get it without the Burgundy Private banking relationship (roughly ₹5 crore total relationship value); the standalone fee only applies if you fall out of that tier, and that penalty doubled to ₹1,00,000 on 1 September 2026 — and the base reward rate needs partner transfers to reach its headline value.

The bottom line
For its intended holder — an Axis Burgundy Private client — this is one of the strongest super-premium cards in India: the ₹1,00,000 fee is waived for the relationship, forex is nil, lounges are unlimited, and the hotel and golf memberships carry real value. The 15-points-per-₹200 earn is respectable rather than dazzling (best value comes from partner transfers, not statement credit), but the near-zero cost of holding makes the benefit stack easy to justify. It is not a card you apply for on rewards alone — it comes with the banking relationship.

Complimentary memberships renew only if you opt in
Memberships renewed automatically each year→Renewed only with the cardholder's explicit consent
From 15 November 2026 the complimentary memberships attached to the card — the lifestyle, dining and travel programmes bundled with the annual fee — renew only if you actively consent. Axis says renewal details and consent options will be shared closer to each renewal date. Read it as a cost-control move: a benefit you have to remember to claim is a benefit fewer people claim, so if you value one of these memberships, watch for the consent prompt rather than assuming it rolls over.

Accor ALL returns as a transfer partner, in Group A
Accor ALL unavailable since 2 April 2026→Accor ALL back, in Group A
Accor Live Limitless is back in the EDGE transfer table, almost six months after Axis removed it on 2 April 2026. It returns in Group A, so it shares the smaller annual cap, and on several cards at a less generous ratio than the card gives its airline partners; the Atlas, for instance, moves 2 EDGE Miles into 1 Accor point where most of its airlines get 1 into 2. Check the card's own transfer table before planning a large transfer.

Cathay Asia Miles, Lufthansa Miles & More and Hilton Honors added
None of the three available→Asia Miles in Group A; Miles & More and Hilton Honors in Group B
Three new programmes joined the EDGE transfer table in the same overnight change. Cathay Pacific Asia Miles sits in Group A with the smaller annual cap; Lufthansa Miles & More and Hilton Honors sit in Group B with the larger one. Ratios vary by card.

Club ITC removed as a transfer partner
Club ITC available→Club ITC removed
Axis dropped Club ITC from its EDGE transfer table in the same overnight change. It had been one of the better-value hotel routes left after the April 2026 cut, since ITC points redeem against stays and dining at ITC hotels in India.

Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into the smaller Group A transfer cap
Group B (the larger annual transfer allowance)→Group A (a quarter of the Group B allowance); ratios unchanged
Axis moved Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Air India Maharaja Club and Qantas Frequent Flyer from Group B to Group A of its EDGE transfer partners, overnight and without notice. The conversion ratios did not change, but Group A carries a quarter of the Group B annual allowance, so far fewer points can reach these three programmes each year. On the Atlas, for example, the most that can go to Air India in a calendar year falls from 1,20,000 EDGE Miles to 30,000.
