PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card

The PVR INOX Kotak is a single-purpose entertainment card for people who watch a lot of movies. Its centrepiece is a milestone benefit — one PVR INOX movie ticket (an "M Coupon" worth up to ₹300) per ₹10,000 band of spend in a monthly billing cycle, with no cap on the number of tickets. Kotak's slab table starts above ₹10,000, so exactly ₹10,000 earns nothing, ₹10,001–₹20,000 earns one ticket and a ₹50,000 monthly spender earns four; the fifth begins at ₹50,001. The coupon covers the ticket price only — booking and convenience fees, and any applicable taxes, are still payable by the cardholder. On top, it gives a flat 5% off movie tickets, 20% off food and beverages at PVR INOX, and complimentary access to in-cinema lounges. What it does NOT give is base reward points — Kotak publishes no earn rate for this card anywhere, so it is a benefits card, not a rewards card. There is no joining fee; the ₹499 annual fee applies at renewal with no spend waiver. Spends on rent, wallet loads and online gaming do not count toward the ticket milestone.

A likeable niche card if PVR INOX is your cinema. Uncapped free tickets (one per ₹10,000 band of monthly spend), 5% off tickets, 20% off food and in-cinema lounge access are real, tangible perks for a frequent movie-goer. But Kotak publishes no base earn rate, the ₹499 renewal fee has no spend waiver, the ticket value caps at ₹300 and the booking fee and taxes stay with you — so its worth rests entirely on how often you go to the movies. The concern

Kotak publishes no base earn rate for everyday spend, the ₹499 renewal fee has no spend waiver, each M Coupon caps at ₹300 with booking fees and taxes still payable, and rent/wallet/gaming spends do not count toward the ticket milestone — so the card only pays off for genuinely frequent PVR INOX visitors.

Frequently asked questions

What does the PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card cost?
There is no joining fee. The ₹499 annual fee applies at renewal, and there is no spend-based waiver for it. Kotak never states a specific renewal year for this card — its Key Fact Statement lists the joining fee as nil, the annual fee as ₹499 and the waiver as not applicable. An add-on card carries a ₹299 fee.
How does the free-movie-ticket benefit work?
You get one PVR INOX movie ticket (an M Coupon worth up to ₹300) per ₹10,000 band of spend in a monthly billing cycle, with no cap on the number of tickets. The slab table starts above ₹10,000 — ₹10,001 to ₹20,000 earns one ticket, and ₹50,000 of spend earns four, with the fifth from ₹50,001. Claim the coupon within two billing cycles; it is then valid 60 days from the claim date. The coupon covers the ticket price only, so booking or convenience fees and any taxes are still payable. Rent, wallet loads and online gaming spends do not count.
Does it earn reward points on regular spends?
Kotak publishes no earn rate for this card anywhere, so treat it as a benefits card rather than a rewards card. Its value is the milestone tickets plus the 5% ticket and 20% food-and-beverage discounts at PVR INOX. On ordinary spend this card earns nothing — there is no base reward rate; whatever it returns comes from perks, milestones or partner offers rather than a percentage on spend. Figures as of August 2026.
What discounts does it give at PVR INOX?
A flat 5% off PVR INOX movie tickets, 20% off food and beverages at PVR INOX, and complimentary access to in-cinema lounges.
Which spends do not count toward the ticket milestone?
Kotak's product page names rent, wallet loads and online gaming, and that is what we record. Its June-2025 merchant-category annexure lists utility and education alongside them for this card while leaving gaming out, so the two Kotak documents disagree — if you are counting on a large utility or education payment to reach a milestone, confirm it with Kotak first.
Which payment network does this card run on?
Kotak does not publish one. Nothing on the product page, the features page, the fees page or the Key Fact Statement names a payment network for this card, and Kotak states elsewhere that only RuPay credit cards can be linked to UPI — so we make no UPI claim for it either.
How has the PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card changed over time?
Our dated Value Timeline for the PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card (on this page) records 1 change since 2025: 0 devaluations, 0 improvements, and the rest neutral changes such as launches or restructures. The most recent entry: PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card relaunched (5 August 2025). Each event carries its source, so any figure here can be checked against the issuer's own documents.

PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card relaunched

One PVR INOX movie ticket (M Coupon, up to ₹300) per ₹10,000 band of monthly spend; ₹0 joining / ₹499 annual

Kotak Mahindra Bank and PVR INOX relaunched their co-branded cinema card in August 2025. Kotak published no release of its own, so the 5 August date comes from trade press rather than the bank; Kotak also never describes the card as succeeding the older PVR Kotak Gold, though that card and the PVR Platinum both sit on its discontinued list. The single-purpose entertainment card gives one PVR INOX movie ticket (an "M Coupon" worth up to ₹300) per ₹10,000 band of spend in a monthly billing cycle, uncapped — the slab table starts above ₹10,000 — plus 5% off tickets, 20% off food and beverages and in-cinema lounge access; Kotak publishes no base earn rate for it. Rent, wallet loads and online gaming do not count toward the ticket milestone. Because it launched after the 1 June 2025 Kotak revision, those milestone exclusions and the post-revision fee/finance-charge terms are baseline for this card, not later changes.
