BOBCARD Easy Credit Card

BOBCARD Easy is Bank of Baroda's entry-level rewards card for first-time and lower-spend users, available on RuPay (as well as Visa/Mastercard) so it can be linked to UPI apps. It earns 5 reward points per ₹100 (~1% at ₹0.20/point) on movies and departmental stores, and 1 RP per ₹100 (~0.2%) on everything else, with a ₹500 fee that waives at just ₹35,000 of annual spend (joining fee waived on ₹6,000 in 60 days). It carries a 1% fuel surcharge waiver (₹400–₹5,000, max ₹250/cycle) and a minimum credit limit of ₹25,000. The earn is modest at ₹0.20/point, but as a free-to-keep first card with UPI it does its job.

The concern

At ₹0.20/point the bonus categories return only ~1% and everything else ~0.2% — fine as a beginner card, but flat-cashback cards out-earn it for anyone with real spend.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it on UPI?
Yes — it is available on RuPay, so it can be linked to PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm and used for UPI payments, earning the base reward rate on those spends.
How many reward points does it earn?
5 reward points per ₹100 on movies and departmental stores, and 1 reward point per ₹100 on other spends. Points are worth about ₹0.20 each. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 1% on groceries (rewards capped at ₹200 a month in that category), against 0.2% on other spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the fee waiver?
₹35,000 of annual spend waives the ₹500 fee; the joining fee is waived on ₹6,000 of spend in the first 60 days. The renewal fee is ₹500 plus 18% GST — ₹590 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Spending ₹35,000 in the card year waives the renewal fee — about ₹2,917 a month. Figures as of October 2026.

BOBCARD Easy Credit Card

BOBCARD Easy is Bank of Baroda's entry-level RuPay rewards card — 5 reward points per ₹100 (~1% at ₹0.20/point) on movies and departmental stores, 1 RP elsewhere, with a low ₹35,000 fee-waiver bar and UPI linking. A sensible first card for modest spenders; the ₹0.20 point value keeps the real return around 1%, so higher spenders out-earn it with a flat-cashback card.

→

BOBCARD Cashback Credit Card

BOBCARD Cashback is Bank of Baroda's flat-cashback card — 5% back on eligible domestic online spends capped at ₹1,500 a month (minimum 4 transactions in the cycle), unlimited 1% on everything else, auto-credited to the statement every month. The fee is ₹49/month or ₹499/year with no spend-based waiver, and fuel, wallet loads, ATM cash and sub-₹100 transactions earn nothing.

→

IRCTC BOBCARD RuPay Credit Card

The IRCTC BOBCARD is a railway co-brand for frequent train travellers: 16 reward points per ₹100 (~4% at ₹0.25/point) on IRCTC AC-class tickets year-round, rising to 40 RP/₹100 (~10%) only in two seasonal windows, plus railway lounge access and a surcharge waiver. The eye-catching 10% is seasonal — the card's real value tracks the ~4% standard rate and how much you book by rail.

→

BOBCARD Select Credit Card

BOBCARD Select is the BOBCARD Easy's engine with dining and online swapped in as the 5X categories, for ₹250 more a year — 5 reward points per ₹100 (~1% at Bank of Baroda's official ₹0.20/point) on those two, capped at 1,000 points per statement cycle SHARED across both, and 1 RP per ₹100 elsewhere, which is the same base rate the cheaper Easy already gives. No lounge access, and it cannot be linked to UPI. Judge it on whether dining and online are genuinely your two biggest categories — that pairing is the only thing the extra ₹250 buys.

→

Snapdeal BOBCARD Credit Card

The Snapdeal BOBCARD earns 20 reward points per ₹100 (~5% at ₹0.25/point) on Snapdeal with no stated cap, 10 RP per ₹100 (~2.5%) on other online shopping and departmental stores, and an unusually strong 4 RP per ₹100 (~1%) base rate — all on a ₹249 fee. The catch is that the fee has no waiver or reversal at any spend level, and fuel earns nothing.

→

BOBCARD Prime Credit Card

BOBCARD Prime is a secured card issued against a fixed deposit of ₹30,000 or more, with guaranteed issuance and no income proof required. It has zero joining and zero annual fees, links to UPI on a RuPay rail, and accepts applicants from 18 to 85. The rewards are token — 2 RP per ₹100 at ₹0.20 a point is about 0.4%, and fuel earns nothing — so judge it on access and cost, not returns.

→

HPCL ENERGIE BOBCARD Credit Card

The HPCL ENERGIE BOBCARD earns 24 reward points per ₹150 (~4% at ₹0.25/point) at eligible HPCL outlets plus a 1% HPCL fuel surcharge waiver, with quarterly domestic lounge access on a ₹499 fee that waives at ₹50,000. Both fuel benefits are gated to HPCL's eligible-outlet list and capped at 1,000 points a statement, and the base rate is a weak 2 RP per ₹150 — so it earns its keep only if you are genuinely loyal to HPCL.

Effective 1 July 2025 BOBCARD revised the monthly finance charge on carried balances and cash advances to 3.75% (45% a year) for all card variants except Eterna, Eterna FD and Tiara. This is the change behind the card's current 3.75%/month rate — it only applies if you revolve a balance or take a cash advance.

From 1 July 2025 BOBCARD restored core reward points on utility bill payments (MCC 4900 — electricity, gas, water) across all variants, partly reversing the July 2024 special-category cull that had zeroed them out. Earning is at the card's core base rate, not an accelerated rate.
