In-depth review
Standard Chartered Rewards Credit Card
Standard Chartered's mainstream points card, and one of the few in its India range on the Mastercard rail. It earns 4 reward points per ₹150 on retail, plus 4 bonus points per ₹150 on the retail beyond ₹20,000 a cycle — but at SC's own stated 25 paisa a point, that headline '4X' is really 0.67%, with a 1.33% marginal rate on the excess until the bonus caps out around ₹95,000 of total retail. No joining fee, a quarterly lounge visit, zero on fuel, and no way to apply online.

The "4X" headline is 0.67% once you apply SC's own 25-paisa point value; the bonus applies only to retail beyond ₹20,000 a cycle and stops at 2,000 points — roughly ₹95,000 of total monthly retail.

The bottom line
The Rewards card is honest enough once you do the point maths: 4 points per ₹150 sounds like 4X, but at 25 paisa a point it is 0.67%, and only the retail beyond ₹20,000 a cycle earns the doubled 1.33% marginal rate — the MIDC pays the bonus on retail "exceeding INR 20,000", capped at 2,000 points (≈₹95,000 of total retail). Add a quarterly lounge visit and no joining fee and it is a reasonable keep-it-simple card for an SC customer. It is not a rate leader, fuel earns zero, and you cannot apply online — it is a branch or phone conversation.
How this page was built
Counted from this card’s own record: 3 earn rules, the spends listed as earning nothing and 3 recorded perks. The renewal fee is conditional — it is waived on a published spend target, so the fee you pay depends on what you spend.

Standard Chartered Manhattan Platinum Credit Card
One of the few Indian cards that pays a real rate on the weekly shop — 5% cashback on supermarkets, groceries and departmental stores. The cap defines it: ₹500 a month, reached at roughly ₹10,000 of grocery spend, with a ₹1,000 minimum per transaction. Fill it and the ₹999 fee is cleared on groceries alone; fall short and the maths thins fast.
Standard Chartered Platinum Rewards Credit Card
Standard Chartered's zero-fee entry card, and the version issued today is the 'instant' variant the bank confirms carries nil fees. It earns 5 points per ₹150 on dining and — unusually — on fuel, with no monthly cap, and a token 1 point per ₹150 elsewhere. At SC's own 25-paisa point value that's 0.83% and 0.17%. Thin, but free, and rewarding petrol at all makes it rare.
Standard Chartered EaseMyTrip Credit Card
A ₹350 travel co-brand whose value is almost entirely in booking discounts — 20% off hotels and 10% off flights on EaseMyTrip — rather than rewards. The twist most people miss: the 10x accelerator explicitly does NOT apply on EaseMyTrip's own site, so the discount and the bonus points are mutually exclusive. Cheap, useful, and thinner than the branding suggests.

No processing fee on rent payments→1% fee on the rent transaction amount
Standard Chartered began levying a 1% processing fee on all rent and rental payments made with its credit cards, effective 2 April 2023. The Rewards card had launched by then, so this bank-wide change applied to it. It makes routing rent through the card uneconomic, since the reward earned rarely covers the fee.

Rewards Credit Card launched
Standard Chartered launched the Rewards Credit Card in India in early 2023 as a mainstream 360 Rewards earner on the Mastercard network. It earns 4 reward points per ₹150 on retail, doubling to 8 points per ₹150 on retail once monthly retail spend crosses ₹20,000 (bonus capped at 2,000 points a cycle), with 1 point per ₹150 on government and insurance and no points on fuel. There is no joining fee and a ₹1,000 renewal from year two, alongside one complimentary domestic lounge visit per quarter.
