In-depth review
MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card
For travellers who book everything through MakeMyTrip, a quietly excellent deal — 6% myCash on MMT hotels, 3% on flights, cabs and buses, MMTBLACK Gold status and a class-leading 0.99% forex markup, all for ₹999. The card's long-running exemption from ICICI's lounge spend-gate lapsed on 30 June 2026. The catch is the co-brand one: your value lives inside MMT, and the platform's pricing can quietly erode it. Superb if you book MMT anyway; a trap if you price-shop.

Eligibility & documents
This is the figure for salaried applicants. Where ICICI Bank sets a separate one for the self-employed, its own eligibility page gives it.
How to redeem rewards
Ways to convert what you earn into real value.
- 🎁Redeem myCash on MakeMyTrip for flights, hotels and holidays (1 myCash = ₹1)
- 🎁Use the annual MakeMyTrip vouchers toward bookings
What your ICICI Reward Points are worth
Realistic value per point by redemption route — the difference is what most people leave on the table.
1 RP = ₹0.40 against the statement — ICICI's only published rate
Voucher store; ICICI publishes only an 'up to ₹1' ceiling, never a realised rate
iShop travel; rate is set per card at checkout, so the ₹1 ceiling is not a value
Rewards live and die inside MakeMyTrip — fare markups on the platform can silently offset the myCash, and the value collapses if you shop fares across portals.

The bottom line
For a MakeMyTrip loyalist this co-brand compounds beautifully — 6% on hotels, MMTBLACK status and a genuinely rare 0.99% forex on a ₹999 card. The lounge access is no longer the free extra it was: from 1 Jul 2026 it needs ₹75,000 a quarter like the rest of ICICI's range. And you are marrying the platform: MMT's fare pricing can quietly claw back what the card pays, so it only wins if you book MMT anyway.
How this page was built
Counted from this card’s own record: 4 earn rules, 1 of them capped, 2 paid only at named merchants, the spends listed as earning nothing and 2 recorded perks. The renewal fee is conditional — it is waived on a published spend target, so the fee you pay depends on what you spend.

ICICI Bank Rubyx Credit Card
A dual-network card (Visa/Mastercard + Amex) that gives you two lounge programmes, two offer ecosystems, golf and concierge on one bill for ₹2,000 (waivable at ₹3 lakh). The perk bundle is the genuine draw; the rewards are middling and 2026 added spend gates and exclusions. Lean on the Visa side for everyday acceptance and buy it for the lounges, not the earn.
Best Travel Credit Cards in India 2026: Lounge Access, Miles and Hotel Points
A travel card is decided by three things: lounge access, a transfer programme worth using, and what you pay to spend abroad. This is every card worth considering for 2026 — what each one costs and gives, in one table, and the single reason each is on the list. It includes the two cards you cannot apply for, because knowing what the benchmark is has value.

- ▲ FeeObserved 9 Oct 2026 · Effective 10 Nov 2026
Dynamic Currency Conversion fee removed
0.99% DCC fee→No DCC fee
The 0.99% fee ICICI has charged on this card since 15 January 2026 when a purchase abroad, or with a merchant registered abroad, is billed in rupees no longer applies from 10 November 2026. The Signature and Platinum MakeMyTrip cards keep the standard fee.

- ▲ FeeObserved 9 Oct 2026 · Effective 10 Nov 2026
Forex mark-up drops to zero
0.99%→0% (no mark-up)
From 10 November 2026 ICICI charges no foreign-currency mark-up on the MakeMyTrip ICICI card, down from 0.99%. The older MakeMyTrip ICICI Signature and Platinum cards are excluded. The same day international spends outside MakeMyTrip stop earning myCash, so a purchase abroad carries no ICICI mark-up and earns no myCash.

- ▼ RewardObserved 9 Oct 2026 · Effective 10 Nov 2026
International spends outside MakeMyTrip stop earning myCash
1% myCash→No myCash
From 10 November 2026 the card's terms list international spends outside MakeMyTrip as earning no rewards, where they earned 1% myCash, and the 1% on other MakeMyTrip spends becomes 1% on other domestic ones. It lands with the end of the forex mark-up: the 0.99% plus GST that goes is slightly more than the 1% myCash that goes with it.
Verification: ICICI Bank ↗ · Confidence: High
- ▼ RedemptionObserved 9 Oct 2026 · Effective 10 Nov 2026
New myCash expires after 24 months
Never expires→24 months from credit
myCash earned from 10 November 2026 is valid for 24 months. myCash earned before that date keeps the rule it was earned under and never expires; until this revision the card's terms said all of it would never expire.
Verification: ICICI Bank ↗ · Confidence: High
- ▼ LoungeEffective 1 Jul 2026
Domestic lounge access loses its exemption from the ₹75,000 quarterly spend gate
Lounge visits with no spend condition→₹75,000 of spend in the preceding calendar quarter
ICICI put domestic lounge access behind ₹75,000 of quarterly spend across its range from 1 January 2025 but exempted the MakeMyTrip card. That exemption was written to run only until 30 June 2026, and it duly lapsed: from 1 July 2026 the card needs ₹75,000 of spend in a calendar quarter to unlock its two domestic lounge visits in the next one. The single international visit a year, via Priority Pass and for the primary cardholder only, is untouched. This removes the card's one benefit that did not depend on either MakeMyTrip or a spend threshold.
