Samsung Axis Bank Infinite Credit Card

The Samsung Axis Bank Infinite is the premium tier of the Samsung co-brand, doubling the device cashback of the Signature and wrapping it in a genuine travel benefit set. Samsung purchases — physical stores on Pinelabs or Benow Brand EMI terminals, the Samsung eStore and Shop app, and Service Centre payments on PayU Soft POS — earn 10% cashback, capped at ₹5,000 a month and ₹20,000 a year. Note what is no longer on that list: Axis dropped Flipkart on 20 December 2024 and Amazon on 1 January 2026, so buying a Samsung device on either marketplace now earns nothing at all. Away from Samsung it runs on EDGE Reward Points: 5 per ₹100 (about ₹1) on general spends, and 15 per ₹100 (about ₹3) on five partners — BigBasket, Tata 1mg, Urban Company, Myntra and Zomato — with international spends also at 15 per ₹100. The welcome benefit is a large 30,000 EDGE points on three transactions in 30 days, worth roughly ₹6,000. Travel benefits are the real upgrade over the Signature: 8 domestic lounge visits a year (spend-gated at ₹50,000 in the previous three months) and 6 international visits via a complimentary Priority Pass, plus a 1% fuel surcharge waiver. The ₹5,000 fee waives at ₹7 lakh of annual spend.

The Infinite is a strong card the year you buy a lot of Samsung: ₹20,000 of device cashback plus a ~₹6,000 welcome bonus comfortably clears the ₹5,000 fee on its own, and the lounge access and 3% partner earn add real everyday value. The catch is the ₹5,000 fee and ₹7 lakh waiver bar — this only makes sense for a high spender who is genuinely Samsung-committed. A lighter Samsung buyer should take the ₹500 Signature instead and keep the four-figure fee.

If you hold this card: If you already hold the Infinite, nothing changes — the 10% Samsung cashback, accelerated partner points and lounge access all continue as before.

Axis has closed new Infinite sourcing and steers applicants to the lower-fee Samsung Axis Bank Signature (₹500). The Infinite is listed but not currently open to new customers.

The open Samsung co-brand right now is the Samsung Axis Bank Signature (₹500 fee), which carries the same 10% Samsung cashback at a lower monthly cap. Take that if you want a Samsung card today.

In-depth review

Samsung Axis Bank Infinite Credit Card

The premium tier of Axis Bank's Samsung co-brand: 10% cashback on Samsung purchases capped at ₹20,000/year, 3% on five partners, a large 30,000-point welcome benefit and full domestic-plus-international lounge access — for a ₹5,000 fee that waives at ₹7 lakh. Strong the year you buy heavily into Samsung; overkill if you don't.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Samsung cashback and cap?
10% cashback on Samsung purchases, capped at ₹5,000 a month and ₹20,000 a year. The qualifying channels are physical stores billed under Brand EMI on Pinelabs or Benow terminals, the Samsung eStore and Shop app, and Service Centre payments on PayU Soft POS. Marketplace purchases no longer count — Axis removed Flipkart with effect from 20 December 2024 and Amazon from 1 January 2026. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 3% on international, against 1% on other spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. It reaches 10% at Samsung stores, Samsung eStore/Shop app, Samsung Service Centres, and only there. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the welcome benefit?
30,000 EDGE Reward Points on completing three transactions within 30 days of issuance — worth about ₹6,000. The welcome benefit was last published at about ₹6,000 against a joining fee of ₹5,900 all-in (incl. GST) — a first-year net of roughly ₹100 in your favour before any spend-based rewards. New applications are paused, so it is not on offer today. Figures as of October 2026.
What lounge access does it offer?
8 domestic lounge visits a year (unlocked by ₹50,000 of spend in the previous three months) and 6 international visits through a complimentary Priority Pass membership. As per the benefit schedule published for existing cardholders (new applications are paused): 8 domestic lounge visits/year (spend-gated ₹50,000 in prior 3 months) plus 6 international visits via complimentary Priority Pass. Figures as of October 2026.
How is the annual fee waived?
The ₹5,000 annual fee is waived on ₹7 lakh of spend in the previous anniversary year. The renewal fee is ₹5,000 plus 18% GST — ₹5,900 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Spending ₹7,00,000 in the card year waives the renewal fee — about ₹58,333 a month. Figures as of October 2026.
How will Axis apply my payment across the outstanding balance from 28 August 2026?
From 28 August 2026 Axis clears a credit card payment in this order — fees and charges including taxes, then EMIs, then interest charges, then purchase transactions, and cash advances last. That swaps the final two: the order it replaced cleared cash advances fourth and purchases last. It only bites if you pay less than the full statement balance, because a part-payment now settles purchases before it reaches a cash advance — and Axis charges interest on a cash advance from the day of withdrawal, with no interest-free period, so the costliest balance is the one left outstanding longest. Paying the statement balance in full makes the order irrelevant.

Complimentary memberships renew only if you opt in

Memberships renewed automatically each year→Renewed only with the cardholder's explicit consent

From 15 November 2026 the complimentary memberships attached to the card — the lifestyle, dining and travel programmes bundled with the annual fee — renew only if you actively consent. Axis says renewal details and consent options will be shared closer to each renewal date. Read it as a cost-control move: a benefit you have to remember to claim is a benefit fewer people claim, so if you value one of these memberships, watch for the consent prompt rather than assuming it rolls over.

Dynamic currency conversion markup more than doubles to 3.5%

    1.5% + GST→3.5% + GST

Axis Bank raised the dynamic currency conversion mark-up from 1.5% to 3.5% plus GST. DCC applies when an overseas merchant offers to bill you in rupees instead of the local currency, and it stacks on top of the usual foreign-currency mark-up. Declining the rupee option at the terminal and paying in the local currency avoids the charge entirely.

Axis Bank added a fifth late-payment slab. Everything up to Rs 50,000 is unchanged, but a total payment due of more than Rs 50,000 now attracts Rs 1,300 instead of Rs 1,200. The same notice fixes the order in which a payment is applied to the outstanding: fees and charges including taxes first, then EMIs, interest, purchases and cash advances.

  4. ▼ LoungeObserved 29 Jul 2026 · Effective 28 Aug 2026

Priority Pass stops working at Indian domestic lounges

Priority Pass accepted at eligible Indian domestic lounges→Credit card + boarding pass only; Priority Pass domestic-invalid in India

From 28 August 2026 the Priority Pass card is no longer valid for entry to domestic airport lounges in India. Axis directs cardholders to present the credit card itself with the boarding pass at the lounge reception instead. The allowance is unchanged — this is an authentication change, not a cut — but it matters if you were spending Priority Pass visits domestically, because those visits now have to come from the card's own domestic allocation. One useful carve-out in Axis's own words: lounges at Indian international terminals AFTER immigration still count as international and can still be entered with Priority Pass.

Axis Bank added bridge fees, road fees and tolls to the spends that earn nothing. Separately, gift card purchases move out of the Wallet spend category into a new Gift Card category; they already earned no rewards, and they continue to be excluded from spend-based fee waivers and milestone thresholds.
