Bank of Baroda Eterna Credit Card

BOB Eterna is Bank of Baroda's premium rewards card, and a strong online earner: 15 reward points per ₹100 (~3.75% at ₹0.25/point) on online, travel, dining and international spends (subject to a shared 5,000 RP/month cap on the accelerated earn), and 3 RP/₹100 elsewhere. It costs ₹2,499 to join, reversed on ₹25,000 of spend in the first 60 days, and ₹2,499 a year, waived on ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend; applicants need ₹12 lakh of annual income. It carries unlimited domestic lounge access (on ₹75,000 of prior-quarter spend), a low 2% forex markup, a ₹5 lakh → 20,000-point milestone, and a 10,000-point welcome benefit (~₹2,500) on ₹50,000 spend within 60 days. It is available on the Visa, Mastercard and RuPay networks. Heads-up: BOBCARD's 15 July 2026 revision raised the free-lounge threshold from ₹40,000 to ₹75,000/quarter, withdrew the complimentary insurance covers, and set the finance charge at 3.75%/month. Still one of the better-value premium cards for steady online and travel spenders.

In-depth review

Bank of Baroda Eterna Credit Card

The best card Bank of Baroda makes — 3.75% on online, travel, dining and international spends plus unlimited domestic lounges, for a ₹2,499 fee that waives at ₹2.5 lakh of spend. On rate alone it punches well above BOB's reputation. The one persistent catch is redemption: BOB's shallow catalogue makes extracting the full 3.75% harder than earning it.

BOB's rewards portal and partner network lag the private banks badly — earning points is easy, extracting full value from them is not.

Frequently asked questions

What is the annual fee for the Bank of Baroda Eterna Credit Card?
The annual fee is Rs 2499, which is waived on annual spends of Rs 250000; the joining fee is reversed on ₹25,000 of spend in the first 60 days. The renewal fee is ₹2,499 plus 18% GST — ₹2,949 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Spending ₹2,50,000 in the card year waives the renewal fee — about ₹20,833 a month. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the foreign currency markup?
2% plus GST on international transactions — low for a premium card. On this card the foreign-currency markup is 2%, and 18% GST applies on the markup fee, so the effective cost is about 2.36% of the transaction. On ₹1,00,000 of overseas spend that works out to roughly ₹2,360 in conversion charges before any rewards offset. Figures as of October 2026.
Is there a fuel surcharge waiver?
Yes — a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions of ₹400–₹5,000, up to ₹250 per statement cycle. This card waives the 1% fuel surcharge, capped at ₹250 — the waiver offsets the surcharge itself, separate from any rewards the fuel spend earns. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the minimum age and income to apply?
Applicants must be between 25 and 55 years of age with a minimum income of Rs 100000 per month (₹12 lakh a year). The issuer's published income bar for this card works out to ₹1,00,000 a month (its salaried figure, where it sets a separate one for the self-employed), and its published age band is 25–55. Treat it as necessary rather than sufficient: credit score, existing exposure and banking relationship all sit on top of any income number. Figures as of October 2026.

Our dated Value Timeline for the Bank of Baroda Eterna Credit Card (on this page) records 9 changes since 2020: 8 devaluations, 0 improvements, and the rest neutral changes such as launches or restructures. Bank of Baroda Tiara Credit Card

Most premium cards differentiate on reward rate; the BOBCARD Tiara differentiates on who it's for. A women-first card anchored by complimentary health screenings (Pap smear, mammography) that almost no other Indian card offers, plus 5X rewards, unlimited domestic lounges and lifestyle memberships. For women who'll use the health benefit, it's an easy card to like — held back only by BOB's thin rewards ecosystem.

→

Bank of Baroda Premier Credit Card

Covers the categories it accelerates — dining, travel, international — at a rate that's fair but forgettable. The sensible default for a Bank of Baroda account holder who wants a mid-tier card without leaving the bank; unremarkable for anyone else. Its ₹1,000 fee is waived at ₹1.2 lakh of annual spend, so a regular user keeps it for nothing.

ICSI Diamond BOBCARD Credit Card

Only Company Secretaries with active ICSI membership can get the ICSI Diamond, and no income level changes that. It never charges a fee, yet includes free professional indemnity cover of ₹5 lakh, a dozen domestic lounge visits a year and a 2% markup on foreign spends, which is strong value. The rewards are ordinary. Most spends return 0.25%. Dining, online and utility bills return 1.25% until together they hit 1,000 points in a statement, and fuel and groceries sit on the exclusion list.

→

ICAI Exclusive BOBCARD Credit Card

Only active ICAI members can get this card, whatever they earn. For a Chartered Accountant it's lifetime free and still brings a 2% forex markup, 12 domestic lounge visits a year and free professional indemnity cover of ₹5 lakh, which is a lot for no fee. Earning is ordinary, with 0.25% on most spends, 1.25% on dining, online and utility bills under a single 1,000-point cap per statement, and a wide exclusion list that takes in fuel and groceries.

→

CMA One BOBCARD Credit Card

CMA One asks ₹1 at joining and no annual fee, and only active ICMAI members can apply, whatever they earn. In return a Cost Accountant gets up to ₹5 lakh of free professional indemnity cover, 12 domestic lounge visits and a 2% forex markup, strong for what is in effect a free card. Points are ordinary, at 0.25% on most spends and 1.25% on dining, online and utility bills up to a 1,000-point cap per statement shared by all three, and fuel and groceries are excluded.
