Standard Chartered EaseMyTrip Credit Card

The SC EaseMyTrip is a ₹350 travel co-brand whose value sits almost entirely in booking discounts rather than rewards. Using promo code EMTSCB on EaseMyTrip you get a flat 20% off participating hotels (capped ₹5,000 domestic, ₹10,000 international), 10% off flights (capped ₹1,000 domestic, ₹5,000 international) and ₹125 off bus tickets over ₹500 — but each discount category can be used only once per calendar month per card (T&C cl. 8g); primary and supplementary cards each get their own allowance. The counterintuitive part is the points: the 10 RP per ₹100 accelerator applies to standalone airline and hotel websites and apps — explicitly NOT to bookings made on EaseMyTrip itself, which earn the 2 RP per ₹100 base. At SC's stated 1 RP = ₹0.25 that is 2.5% on standalone travel and 0.5% everywhere else, with no monthly cap. Two domestic lounge visits a year remain; international lounge access was withdrawn on 15 October 2024.

Judge this card on the discounts and it is easy to justify: ₹350 buys 20% off hotels and 10% off flights on EaseMyTrip, and one booking can repay the fee many times. Judge it on rewards and it is thin — 0.5% base, and the 2.5% accelerator deliberately excludes EaseMyTrip's own site, so you cannot collect both the discount and the bonus points on the same booking. Know which lever you are pulling and it is a cheap, useful travel companion rather than a primary card.

In-depth review

Standard Chartered EaseMyTrip Credit Card

A ₹350 travel co-brand whose value is almost entirely in booking discounts — 20% off hotels and 10% off flights on EaseMyTrip — rather than rewards. The twist most people miss: the 10x accelerator explicitly does NOT apply on EaseMyTrip's own site, so the discount and the bonus points are mutually exclusive. Cheap, useful, and thinner than the branding suggests.

The concern

The 10x accelerator does not apply on EaseMyTrip's own site — the discount and the bonus points are mutually exclusive, which is the opposite of what a co-brand usually implies.

Frequently asked questions

What discounts does the EaseMyTrip card give?
Flat 20% off domestic and international hotel bookings (capped ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 respectively), 10% off domestic and international flights (capped ₹1,000 and ₹5,000), and ₹125 off bus tickets over ₹500 — all using promo code EMTSCB on the EaseMyTrip site or app. Each discount category can be used once per calendar month per card; primary and supplementary cards each get their own monthly allowance.
Do EaseMyTrip bookings earn the 10x reward points?
No — and this is the card's big catch. The 10 points per ₹100 accelerator applies only to standalone airline and hotel websites, apps and outlets. Bookings on EaseMyTrip itself earn the 2 points per ₹100 base rate, because you are taking the instant discount on that booking instead. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 0.5% on everyday spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. It reaches 2.5% at Standalone airline and hotel websites, apps and outlets (identified by Visa merchant category codes). Explicitly NOT EaseMyTrip's own website or app, and not other travel aggregators — bookings made on EaseMyTrip earn only the 2 RP per ₹100 base rate., and only there. Figures as of October 2026.
What is an EaseMyTrip card point worth?
Standard Chartered states 1 reward point = ₹0.25. So the 10 points per ₹100 accelerator is about 2.5% and the 2 points per ₹100 base is about 0.5%. Points on this card redeem only through the 360 Rewards catalogue.
What lounge access does it include?
2 complimentary domestic lounge visits per calendar year. Complimentary international lounge access, both within and outside India, was discontinued with effect from 15 October 2024. As per the card's current benefit schedule: 2 complimentary domestic lounge visits per calendar year via the Visa domestic lounge programme. International lounge access (in and outside India) was discontinued with effect from 15 October 2024. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the fee and how does it waive?
₹350 plus GST as a joining fee and ₹350 plus GST from year two, reversed if you spend ₹50,000 or more in the preceding year. There is no cap on the reward points you can earn. The renewal fee is ₹350 plus 18% GST — ₹413 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Spending ₹50,000 in the card year waives the renewal fee — about ₹4,167 a month. Figures as of October 2026.

The bottom line

Judge this card on the discounts and it is easy to justify: ₹350 buys 20% off hotels and 10% off flights on EaseMyTrip, and one booking can repay the fee many times. Judge it on rewards and it is thin — 0.5% base, and the 2.5% accelerator deliberately excludes EaseMyTrip's own site, so you cannot collect both the discount and the bonus points on the same booking. Know which lever you are pulling and it is a cheap, useful travel companion rather than a primary card.

How this page was built

Counted from this card’s own record: 2 earn rules, 1 paid only at named merchants and 1 recorded perk. The renewal fee is conditional — it is waived on a published spend target, so the fee you pay depends on what you spend.
