The headline discounts only apply to bookings made through ixigo, so off-platform travel and general spend earn only the base rate.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ixigo AU Credit Card lifetime free?
Yes — there is no joining or annual fee, so it is worth holding purely as a travel-booking companion card.
What travel benefits does it give?
10% off (up to ₹3,000) on flight bookings, 10% off (up to ₹3,000) on hotel bookings, and no payment-gateway charge on train bookings up to 4 times a month (2 on ixigo + 2 on ConfirmTkt) — all via ixigo — plus 8 domestic (spend-gated) and 8 railway lounge visits a year and 1 international visit via Priority Pass.
Does it earn on general spends?
Yes — a flat 5 reward points per ₹200 across online, offline and UPI spends (capped at 10,000 points a statement cycle), plus 5,000 bonus points in any calendar quarter you spend ₹75,000 or more. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 0.63% on everyday spends (rewards capped at ₹2,500 a month in that category) — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the welcome benefit?
1,000 reward points plus ₹1,000 of ixigo Money on your first transaction within 30 days. The ixigo Money voucher is for new-to-bank customers only and stays valid for 90 days from credit. The welcome benefit is currently valued at about ₹1,250, and with no joining fee there is nothing to offset it against. Figures as of October 2026.
Which spends earn no reward points?
Rent, education, government, international, fuel, wallet loads, insurance and BBPS bill payments earn nothing. AU's earlier reward notice allowed a small insurance earn, but the bank's current page excludes insurance outright — the newer statement applies here.

Because it costs nothing to hold, there's no break-even to clear, and the train-booking saving alone can justify it for regular rail travellers. Paytm AU Credit Card

A lifetime-free RuPay co-brand built for people who already live inside the Paytm app — up to 2% on Paytm Scan & Pay (UPI), 5% on Paytm Travel and Paytm Gold, and a base rate on everything else. Its value tracks how much of your spending actually runs through Paytm. Off-app, the earn is ordinary, so treat it as a free companion to a primary card, not a replacement for one.

→

AU Kosmo Credit Card

A lifetime-free RuPay card co-created with Kiwi, the UPI-on-credit app — its whole pitch is earning Kiwi rewards on every UPI scan-and-pay, with a small fuel-surcharge waiver alongside. If you already live in the Kiwi app there's no downside to holding it; if you don't, the app-tied, campaign-variable rewards make it a niche pick rather than a dependable category card.

→

AU SPONT Credit Card

A clean, no-fuss flat-cashback card built around UPI — 1% back, credited straight to your statement, on e-commerce, POS, contactless and scan-and-pay through any UPI app, capped at ₹500 per statement cycle. It won't out-earn a good category card, and the ₹299 fee has no published waiver — but for a UPI-first spender who doesn't want to track categories it's honest, low-friction value. Just know the airport-lounge perk is gated behind ₹50,000 of quarterly spend; railway lounges are not.

  1. ▼ FeeEffective 1 Jul 2026

Fuel fair-usage terms tightened — trigger halved, levy on the whole aggregate

1% fair-usage charge once monthly fuel spends exceeded 50% of the credit limit or ₹50,000→1% on the entire aggregate once a single fuel transaction exceeds ₹10,000 or monthly fuel spends exceed ₹25,000

From 1 July 2026 AU tightened its fuel fair-usage charge: the trigger dropped from ₹50,000 of aggregate fuel spend in a calendar month to ₹25,000 (or a single fuel transaction above ₹10,000), and the 1% charge is now levied on the entire aggregate fuel spend for the month rather than the portion above the threshold. Fair-usage charges do not apply to international transactions. The complimentary fuel-surcharge waiver bands are unchanged.

The domestic-airport-lounge spend threshold introduced in April 2025 was raised from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per calendar quarter, part of the same bank-wide lounge-gate revision AU applied across every spend-gated AU card from 10 April 2026.

10 RP/₹200 online, 5 RP/₹200 offline→Flat rate across online, offline and UPI (CardInsider states it as "2.5%" per ₹200, replacing the two-tier online/offline structure)

AU flattened ixigo's two-tier online/offline reward rate into one flat rate across online, offline and UPI spends, and stopped rewarding trains, taxis, tolls, parking, and flight/hotel bookings made outside the ixigo platform — the same 11-MCC transportation exclusion AU applied bank-wide from 10 April 2026.
