IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card

Read the current terms, not the old reviews. The IndusInd Legend was once genuinely compelling — zero forex, unlimited global lounges, below super-premium pricing — but in 2026 it has been dismantled: complimentary lounge access was discontinued in March 2025 (you keep Priority Pass membership but pay per visit), forex is now 1.8% (not 0%), and InterMiles redemption is gone. On price, IndusInd's published Schedule of Charges gives the Legend a one-time joining fee of ₹5,000 and an annual fee of NIL — you pay once at the front and nothing on renewal, ever. It earns 1 reward point per ₹100 on weekdays and 2 per ₹100 on weekends, with a 3,000-point bonus at ₹5 lakh of annual spend, non-expiring points and a BookMyShow BOGO (up to ₹200). What is left is a fine rewards card with a real entry cost, nothing like the travel flagship the marketing implies.

  • 3,000-point bonus at ₹5 lakh of annual spend

✕ Cons

  • IndusInd has smaller branch network than HDFC or ICICI — not ideal if you need in-person banking support
  • Reward redemption catalogue less extensive than legacy bank portals
  • The travel draws are gone — lounge access was discontinued March 2025, forex is now 1.8%, and InterMiles redemption ended
  • From 15 June 2026 a 1% fee plus GST applies to fuel spends above ₹30,000 in a billing cycle and to non-air transport spends above ₹40,000, and rent paid through third-party merchants carries 1% plus GST on every transaction
  • Dynamic currency conversion doubled to 2% plus GST on 15 June 2026, charged on top of the 1.8% forex markup when an overseas merchant bills you in rupees
  • Redeeming points for cash credit costs ₹149 plus GST, and any other redemption costs ₹100
  • A one-time ₹5,000 joining fee is a real entry cost for a card whose travel perks have been removed, and IndusInd's hub still badges the Legend "Lifetime Free" while its Schedule of Charges does not

The concern

The headline perks that made it famous (zero forex, unlimited lounges, InterMiles) have all been removed, while the joining fee is real — do not buy it for travel, and ignore older reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Was lounge access removed?
Yes — complimentary airport lounge access was discontinued from March 2025. You keep Priority Pass membership but pay per visit. This was a significant devaluation.
What is the movie benefit?
BookMyShow buy-one-get-one free, up to ₹200 off the second ticket.
What is the forex markup?
The forex markup is 1.8% — no longer the zero-forex card the old reviews described. On this card the foreign-currency markup is 1.8%, and 18% GST applies on the markup fee, so the effective cost is about 2.12% of the transaction. On ₹1,00,000 of overseas spend that works out to roughly ₹2,124 in conversion charges before any rewards offset. Figures as of October 2026.
Is this card lifetime free?
Not on IndusInd's published Schedule of Charges. Its MITC gives the Legend a one-time joining fee of ₹5,000 and an annual fee of NIL, so you pay once and nothing on renewal. IndusInd's credit-card hub still badges the card "Lifetime Free", and the fee column is headed "actual fees will be conveyed at the time of application" — the bank sells the Legend on more than one fee point, so confirm yours before you apply.
How does the card earn reward points?
1 reward point per ₹100 on weekdays and 2 per ₹100 on weekends, plus a 3,000-point bonus at ₹5 lakh of annual spend. Points never expire. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 0.72% on everyday spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. Figures as of October 2026.
How has the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card changed over time?
Our dated Value Timeline for the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card (on this page) records 7 changes since 2016: 6 devaluations, 0 improvements, and the rest neutral changes such as launches or restructures. The most recent entry: New fuel/transport surcharges and higher DCC fee (15 June 2026). Each event carries its source, so any figure here can be checked against the issuer's own documents.
Has the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card been devalued recently?
Yes — our record shows 5 devaluations to the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card in the last 24 months. The most recent: New fuel/transport surcharges and higher DCC fee, effective 15 June 2026 — from No fuel/transport surcharge; 1% + GST DCC to 1% + GST fuel >₹30k/cycle; 1% + GST transport >₹40k/cycle; DCC 2% + GST. The full dated list, with what changed and its source, is in the Value Timeline on this page.
When did the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card's fees last change?
15 June 2026: New fuel/transport surcharges and higher DCC fee — from No fuel/transport surcharge; 1% + GST DCC to 1% + GST fuel >₹30k/cycle; 1% + GST transport >₹40k/cycle; DCC 2% + GST. The current fee schedule is in the fees table on this page; the Value Timeline lists every earlier fee change we have on record.
How did the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card change in 2025?
Our record shows 4 changes to the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card in 2025 (4 cuts): InterMiles redemption route discontinued (21 January 2025); Complimentary airport lounge access discontinued (7 March 2025); Redemption fee raised; Pay-with-Rewards value cut (1 April 2025), and 1 more. The biggest single change: before 1 April 2025 it was Redemption fee ₹100 + GST; no 50% balance cap; from then on, ₹149 + GST per cash redemption; twid 12.5% travel / 10% other from 2nd txn; 50%-of-balance cap. Every event, dated and sourced, is in the Value Timeline on this page.

The bottom line

Judge it on 2026 terms: the pricing is one-time — ₹5,000 in, then no annual fee ever — but the travel flagship is gone, with lounge access discontinued in March 2025, forex at 1.8% and InterMiles redemption ended. As a weekday/weekend rewards card with no renewal cost it is perfectly fine; as the zero-forex, unlimited-lounge card the catalog described, it no longer exists. Confirm your own fee point before applying — IndusInd sells the Legend on more than one.

IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card

Read the current terms, not the old reviews. The IndusInd Legend was genuinely compelling — zero forex, unlimited global lounges, below super-premium pricing — but in 2026 it's been dismantled: lounge access was discontinued in March 2025, forex is 1.8% (not 0%), and InterMiles redemption is gone. What's left is a decent rewards card that costs ₹5,000 once at the front and nothing on renewal — nothing like the travel flagship the marketing implies.

→

IndusInd Bank Samman Credit Card

The IndusInd Samman is a low-cost RuPay card for government-sector employees, built around one idea: pay from your credit card over UPI. It earns 1% cashback on the first ₹20,000 of eligible retail spend a cycle — so ₹200 a cycle, hard — the ₹199 fee waives on ₹75,000 of spend, and it throws in a movie ticket, travel cover and fuel/railway surcharge waivers. A convenient near-free default, not a returns engine.

→

IndusInd Bank Avios Visa Infinite Credit Card

One of India's most unusual cards — it earns British Airways/Qatar Avios directly from rupee spend, one of the world's most valuable airline currencies. For a BA/Qatar flyer who'll actively hunt award seats, it's uniquely useful; for everyone else it's the wrong tool. The 20,000-Avios welcome bonus is live, but the doubled 40,000-Avios promo lapsed on 31 Jan 2026, Qatar Privilege Club Gold has been discontinued, the forex markup is really 3.5% outside one nominated destination, and scarce ex-India award availability is the perennial risk.

→

CRED IndusInd Bank RuPay Credit Card

CRED's mass-market RuPay co-brand (not the invite-only CRED Sovereign) pays a real ~5% — 5 CRED Points per ₹100 — on e-commerce, CRED Pay/Store/Travel and CRED UPI, capped at 5,000 points a statement cycle. First year free, then ₹499. A focused online/UPI category card, best paired with a broad everyday card, not a do-everything wallet.

→

IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card

A genuinely original piece of hardware — the LED-button card that lets you toggle Credit, Rewards or EMI right at the terminal — wrapped around a thoroughly ordinary rewards engine of 1 point per ₹150. Add a ₹10,000 joining fee (but no annual fee) and KrisFlyer-only transfers, and the novelty has to do a lot of work. Buy it for the trick, not the return.

→

IndusInd Bank ePay Amex Credit Card

A lifetime-free, online-first American Express card whose rewards are frequency-based — 4 / 8 / 10 Reward Points per transaction as you cross 4 and 10 transactions a cycle, points worth just ₹0.35 each. The much-quoted 5% prompt-payment cashback is published by IndusInd with no base and no cap, so its worth cannot be calculated. A free secondary online card, not a primary earner — and no UPI.

→

IndusInd Bank Pinnacle Credit Card

The IndusInd Pinnacle is a premium lifestyle card with an unusual fee shape: a one-time ₹15,000 joining fee and no annual fee thereafter. The draw is the package — a green-fee golf programme, 24x7 concierge, movie tickets and Priority Pass — not the rewards, which are ordinary. And the lounge access is easy to misread: Priority Pass visits carry a US$35 charge within India. Judge it on golf and concierge, not returns.

→

IndusInd Bank Jio-bp Mobility+ Credit Card

A fuel co-brand tied to Reliance's Jio-bp network: ~4% back at Jio-bp outlets (12 Smiles per ₹100 plus a 1% surcharge waiver), capped at 1,200 Smiles a cycle, on RuPay with UPI. Away from the pump it earns 5 Smiles per ₹100 on dining, supermarket and grocery. Nil renewal fee, joining fee waived on ₹10,000 spend. Worth it mainly if Jio-bp is genuinely your regular pump.

→

EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card

The EazyDiner Platinum is the lifetime-free, entry-tier sibling of the ₹2,999 EazyDiner Signature — same dining engine, no fee. A complimentary EazyDiner Prime membership gets you a guaranteed 25% up to 50% off at 2,000+ restaurants, and paying via PayEazy adds an extra 20% off up to ₹500. A monthly BookMyShow buy-one-get-one and a published milestone sit behind it, and the RuPay variant links to UPI. Outside all that the 0.4% base earn is thin, so its worth turns on how much you use EazyDiner.

→

IndusInd Bank Platinum RuPay Credit Card

A RuPay card you link to a UPI app to earn 2 reward points per ₹100 on UPI (QR-code) spends, 1 on non-UPI card spends, and just 0.70 on select categories. At ₹0.35 a point that's about 0.7% back — modest, and IndusInd's MITC prices entry at a one-time ₹10,000 joining fee with no annual fee thereafter, even though the marketing still says Lifetime Free.

→

IndusInd Bank Pioneer Heritage Credit Card

The flagship of IndusInd's Pioneer banking programme — an invite-only, relationship-gated super-premium card, not one you apply for online. It earns 1 point per ₹100 domestic and 2.5 per ₹100 international, and those points redeem at a genuine 1 point = ₹1, so the reward is worth its face value. Zero forex markup, unlimited domestic and international lounges, complimentary golf and a concierge justify the fee for the right high-spending traveller.

→

IndusInd Bank Celesta Credit Card

A super-premium American Express card whose real value is unlimited domestic lounge access, two international Priority Pass visits a quarter and a monthly golf game — not its everyday rate, and not a welcome gift, because IndusInd publishes no brand or value for the one its ₹25,000 joining fee buys. Points redeem at a strong ₹0.75 each, but cash redemption is capped at 10,000 points a month, and the 3.5% forex markup makes it a poor card to actually carry abroad despite the 3x international earn.

→

IndusInd Bank Platinum Aura Edge Credit Card

The Platinum Aura Edge is IndusInd's lifetime-free lifestyle card with an unusual twist: you pick one of four reward plans — Home, Shop, Travel or Party — and earn up to 4 reward points per ₹100 only in that plan's categories, on a weak 0.5-point base. Points are worth ₹0.40. Genuinely useful if your spend concentrates in one plan; poor as a do-everything card.

→

IndusInd Bank Pioneer Legacy Credit Card

A Pioneer-relationship premium card — invite-only, not an open application. ₹50,000 joining (₹5,000 for existing Legacy customers) and no annual fee. It earns 1 point per ₹100 on weekdays and 2 on weekends, and Pioneer points redeem at a genuine 1 point = ₹1 or convert to KrisFlyer Miles. Lounge and golf perks are useful but quota-capped — a keep-if-offered card that sits below the Heritage and Private.

→

IndusInd Bank Pioneer Private Credit Card

The top card of IndusInd's Pioneer Private banking tier — reserved for Private-banking clients, not available to apply for. It earns 3 reward points per ₹100 that redeem at a genuine ₹1, giving an effective 3%, alongside zero forex markup, unlimited domestic and international lounges, unlimited golf and a first-year Taj Epicure or Club ITC dining membership. One of the strongest super-premium cards in India — if you can access it.

→

IndusInd Bank Crest Credit Card

An invite-only super-premium card that is a relationship product, not a rewards engine. Its strengths are real — a ₹0.75-per-point value, a discounted 1.8% forex markup and a monthly golf allowance — but the base earn rate is modest and the domestic lounge visits are gated behind ₹5 lakh of spend every quarter.

→

IndusInd Bank Indus Solitaire Credit Card

A super-premium Mastercard World Elite built around one genuinely rare feature: a 0% forex markup. Add KrisFlyer transfers at 5 points to 4 miles, Taj Epicure, a 12-round golf programme and up to 32 lounge visits a year and it is a coherent travel tool — but the base reward rate is a low ~0.5%, so it only makes sense for a frequent international traveller who will actually use the forex and transfer benefits.

  1. ▼ FeeEffective 15 Jun 2026

New fuel/transport surcharges and higher DCC fee

    No fuel/transport surcharge; 1% + GST DCC→1% + GST fuel >₹30k/cycle; 1% + GST transport >₹40k/cycle; DCC 2% + GST

Effective 15 June 2026 IndusInd added a 1% + GST fuel surcharge on cumulative fuel spends above ₹30,000 per statement cycle (Legend is a standard variant), a 1% + GST transport surcharge above ₹40,000 per cycle (air travel excluded), raised the DCC fee on INR-billed international transactions to 2% + GST for standard cards, and revised the late-payment grid.

2025

  1. ▼ BenefitEffective 21 Dec 2025

    Complimentary air-accident insurance withdrawn

Complimentary air-accident cover provided with the card→No air-accident cover

On 21 December 2025 IndusInd discontinued the complimentary air-accident insurance feature across its credit cards, stating simply that the coverage "stands discontinued". The bank published no replacement and named no exempt card. Note that several IndusInd product pages still described the cover months afterwards — the Avios, Duo, Pioneer Private and Platinum pages all still advertised it in August 2026 — so a reader may encounter the old wording on IndusInd's own site; the dated withdrawal notice is the operative statement. Other insurance benefits are unaffected: lost-card liability, Total Protect fraud cover, travel insurance and purchase protection continue where the card carried them.

Redemption fee ₹100 + GST; no 50% balance cap→₹149 + GST per cash redemption; twid 12.5% travel / 10% other from 2nd txn; 50%-of-balance cap

A portfolio-wide reward devaluation effective 1 April 2025 raised the cash-credit redemption fee to ₹149 + GST, added per-transaction twid 'Pay with Rewards' fees, cut the twid threshold from the 2nd transaction (15%→12.5% on travel, 10% on other categories), imposed a 50%-of-balance cash-redemption cap, pulled back points on delinquency, and ended bonus points on fractional spends. The official notice names the Legend explicitly in its capping illustration.

  3. ▼ LoungeEffective 7 Mar 2025

    Complimentary airport lounge access discontinued

Complimentary domestic lounge + Priority Pass membership→No complimentary lounge (Priority Pass membership retained, pay per visit)

IndusInd withdrew complimentary airport lounge access from the Legend effective 7 March 2025, across both the Visa and Mastercard variants. Cardholders keep Priority Pass membership but pay per visit — gutting the card's flagship travel perk.

  4. ▼ TransferEffective 21 Jan 2025

    InterMiles redemption route discontinued
