RBL Bank DMI Finance Credit Card

The RBL DMI Finance Credit Card is a digital-first co-brand issued to DMI Finance customers through the DMI app, on the Mastercard network. Its earn is modest and typical of an entry card: 2 reward points per ₹100 on online spends and 1 point per ₹100 offline, with total earning capped at 500 reward points per billing cycle across both rates. The everyday sweeteners are a BookMyShow buy-one-get-one movie offer (up to ₹200, on ₹5,000 monthly spend) and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver (up to ₹100/month), plus a ₹200 BookMyShow voucher on activation. Regular spenders also collect 2,000 reward points for every ₹50,000 spent in a quarter, a ₹500 Amazon voucher at ₹2 lakh a year and an additional ₹200 Swiggy voucher at ₹3 lakh. At ₹499 with no fee waiver, a ₹99 + GST redemption fee and a wide exclusion list that also gates the milestones, it is a convenience card for existing DMI customers rather than a rewards standout.

The concern

Reward earning is capped at 500 points per billing cycle and the base rate is thin, so the card leans on the movie BOGO and fuel waiver rather than its rewards — and the ₹499 fee has no waiver.

Frequently asked questions

How is the RBL DMI Finance card issued?
It is a co-branded card issued to DMI Finance customers, applied for and managed through the DMI Finance app, on the Mastercard network.
What does it earn?
2 reward points per ₹100 on online spends and 1 point per ₹100 offline, with total reward earning capped at 500 points per billing cycle. A ₹99 redemption fee applies. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 0.5% on online shopping (rewards capped at ₹125 a month in that category), against 0.25% on other spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the movie benefit?
A BookMyShow buy-one-get-one offer worth up to ₹200 when you spend ₹5,000 in a billing cycle, plus a one-time ₹200 BookMyShow voucher on card activation.
Does it have a fee waiver?
No. The ₹499 joining and annual fee is flat. A 2,000-reward-point welcome benefit is credited on meeting the qualifying spend within the stated window. The renewal fee is ₹499 plus 18% GST — ₹589 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Figures as of October 2026.
Are there milestone benefits?
Yes — 2,000 reward points for every ₹50,000 spent in a calendar quarter (up to 8,000 points a year if you clear the bar all four quarters), a ₹500 Amazon voucher at ₹2 lakh of annual spend and an additional ₹200 Swiggy voucher at ₹3 lakh. Excluded categories do not count toward any of them. The current milestone schedule: 2,000 reward points for every ₹50,000 of spend in a calendar quarter — 8,000 points is the annual equivalent, earned at a steady ₹2 lakh a year that clears the quarterly bar all four times. Fully hit, that is worth about ₹2,000 a year on top of regular earn. Figures as of October 2026.
Which spends earn no reward points?
Railways, fuel and auto, utilities, insurance, quasi-cash, rent and real estate, education, wallets and service providers, government services, contracted services, cash, miscellaneous, Bills2Pay and EMI conversions. The same list is excluded from the monthly movie benefit and every milestone.

2026

  1. ▼ FeeObserved Jan 2026 · Effective 7 Jan 2026

New 1% fee on large FASTag top-ups and toll payments

No FASTag or toll transaction fee→1% fee on any FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000

From 7 January 2026 RBL Bank charges a 1% fee on any single FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000, measured per transaction per card, across merchant category codes 4784, 4111 and 4131. Because the threshold is per transaction rather than a monthly aggregate, it bites on one-off large FASTag top-ups rather than on regular commuting; splitting a top-up below ₹10,000 avoids it. The fee sits alongside RBL's existing 1% charges on rent, on utility spends above ₹50,000 a month, on fuel transactions above ₹10,000, and on education payments routed through third-party apps. It is a fee on the transaction, not a change to reward earning — these categories already earn no reward points on most RBL cards.

2024

  1. ▼ FeeEffective 15 Oct 2024

New 1% fees on large fuel, utility & education spends

No category transaction fees→1% on big fuel/utility/third-party-education spends

From 15 Oct 2024 RBL added a 1% fee on every fuel transaction over ₹10,000 (capped ₹3,000/txn), a 1% fee on utility spends above ₹50,000 in a month, and a 1% fee on third-party-app education payments. These apply to this card as they do across the RBL line-up, and are separate from its standard 1% fuel-surcharge waiver on ₹500–4,000 fuel spends, which continues.

Verification: RBL Bank ↗ · Confidence: High

  2. ▼ RewardEffective 15 Oct 2024

Reward points removed on several categories

Base points on most offline spends→No points on Education, Govt, Cash, Bills2Pay & similar

Effective 15 Oct 2024 — barely a month after launch — RBL narrowed reward-point earning across its line-up, and no base points now accrue on Education, Government Services, Contracted Services, Cash or Bills2Pay transactions. For this card, whose earn is a thin 2 RP/₹100 online and 1 RP/₹100 offline (capped 500 points per cycle), the change trims the offline base further on those excluded categories.

Verification: RBL Bank ↗ · Confidence: High

  3. ◆ LaunchEffective 11 Sept 2024

RBL x DMI Finance co-brand card launched

On 11 September 2024 RBL Bank and DMI Finance unveiled this digital-first co-branded Mastercard, issued to DMI Finance customers through the DMI app. Entry-level terms: 2 reward points per ₹100 online and 1 point per ₹100 offline (total earn capped at 500 points per billing cycle), a 2,000-point welcome benefit, a BookMyShow buy-one-get-one movie offer plus a ₹200 activation voucher, and a 1% fuel-surcharge waiver.
