RBL Bank Patanjali Vishisht Credit Card

The RBL Patanjali Vishisht is a niche co-brand on the RuPay network (so it links to UPI) aimed squarely at loyal Patanjali shoppers. Its one real draw is 10% cashback at Patanjali online and offline stores on transactions of ₹500 or more — but that cashback is capped at ₹500 a month, so the benefit maxes out at about ₹5,000 of monthly Patanjali spend. Everything else is ordinary: 1 reward point per ₹100 on other spends, a 1% fuel surcharge waiver (up to ₹150/month), and a ₹499 fee waived at ₹1.5 lakh of annual spend. It makes sense only for households that genuinely buy a lot of Patanjali; for anyone else a flat-cashback card returns more.

In-depth review

RBL Bank Patanjali Vishisht Credit Card

A single-brand loyalty card for Patanjali shoppers: 10% cashback at Patanjali stores on ₹500+ transactions, capped at ₹500 a month. On a low ₹499 RuPay-on-UPI card it quietly pays for itself for a genuine Patanjali household — but off-brand spending earns only a token 1 point per ₹100, so it is a companion, not a primary card.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Patanjali cashback work?
You earn 10% cashback at Patanjali online and offline stores on each transaction of ₹500 or more, capped at ₹500 of cashback per month — roughly ₹5,000 of monthly Patanjali spend. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 0.25% on everyday spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. It reaches 10% at Patanjali stores (online & offline), min ₹500 per transaction, and only there. Figures as of October 2026.
What do other spends earn?
1 reward point per ₹100 on non-Patanjali spends, roughly 0.25% in value, with a ₹99 redemption fee. This is a single-brand loyalty card, not an everyday rewards engine.
Is the card lifetime free?
No. It carries a ₹499 joining and ₹499 annual fee; the annual fee is waived if you spend ₹1.5 lakh in the preceding year.
Does it work on UPI?
Yes — it is issued on the RuPay network and can be linked to UPI apps for scan-and-pay, subject to NPCI's RuPay-credit-on-UPI rules.
What are the milestone benefits?
Two, both revised with effect from 10 May 2026. A ₹500 Patanjali voucher needs ₹7 lakh of eligible annual spend including at least ₹1.5 lakh at Patanjali; a 2-night/3-day Patanjali Wellness Centre stay needs ₹10 lakh including at least ₹2.5 lakh at Patanjali. Clearing the total alone is not enough — the Patanjali minimum has to be met too. Cards issued on or before 9 May 2026 keep the earlier bars until their next anniversary. The current milestone schedule: A 2 nights / 3 days stay at a Patanjali Wellness Centre on ₹10 lakh of eligible annual spend, of which at least ₹2.5 lakh must be at Patanjali stores or its website (revised 10 May 2026). Fully hit, that is worth about ₹5,000 a year on top of regular earn. Figures as of October 2026.
Do UPI payments earn on this card?
Mostly, but not all. RBL excludes offline UPI transactions under ₹2,000 at small merchants — those with turnover of ₹20 lakh or less in the previous financial year — from reward points, vouchers and milestone spend counting.
What interest rate does the card charge?
RBL prices interest by credit-bureau band rather than per card, within a published ceiling of 3.99% a month. The bands are 3.35% a month above a CIBIL score of 775, 3.85% from 725 to 775, and 3.99% below 725.
Who should get this card?
Households that regularly shop at Patanjali and can use the ₹500 monthly cashback. For broader spending, a flat-cashback card returns more.

2026

  1. ▼ MilestoneObserved May 2026 · Effective 10 May 2026

Milestone spend thresholds more than doubled

Voucher at ₹2.5L spend; wellness stay at ₹4L spend→Voucher at ₹7L spend; wellness stay at ₹10L spend

Effective 10 May 2026 RBL sharply raised the annual-spend thresholds for the card's milestone rewards. The ₹500 Patanjali voucher now needs ₹7 lakh of eligible annual spend (with a ₹1.5 lakh minimum at Patanjali), up from ₹2.5 lakh (₹12,000 Patanjali minimum), and the 2N/3D Patanjali Wellness Centre stay now needs ₹10 lakh annual spend (₹2.5 lakh Patanjali minimum), up from ₹4 lakh (₹15,000 Patanjali minimum). The revised criteria apply to cards issued on or after 10 May 2026; earlier cardholders keep the old thresholds until their next anniversary. The ₹1.5 lakh annual-fee-waiver threshold was unchanged.

  2. ▼ FeeObserved Jan 2026 · Effective 7 Jan 2026

New 1% fee on large FASTag top-ups and toll payments

No FASTag or toll transaction fee→1% fee on any FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000

From 7 January 2026 RBL Bank charges a 1% fee on any single FASTag-loading or toll-payment transaction above ₹10,000, measured per transaction per card, across merchant category codes 4784, 4111 and 4131. Because the threshold is per transaction rather than a monthly aggregate, it bites on one-off large FASTag top-ups rather than on regular commuting; splitting a top-up below ₹10,000 avoids it. The fee sits alongside RBL's existing 1% charges on rent, on utility spends above ₹50,000 a month, on fuel transactions above ₹10,000, and on education payments routed through third-party apps. It is a fee on the transaction, not a change to reward earning — these categories already earn no reward points on most RBL cards.

    Patanjali Vishisht launched — 10% Patanjali cashback on a ₹499 RuPay-on-UPI card
