Axis Bank Flipkart Credit Card

The Axis Flipkart is the go-to card for Flipkart shoppers, but two things the catalog used to say are no longer true: it is not lifetime-free (₹500 fee, waived at ₹3.5 lakh of annual spend excluding rent and wallet loads), and the 5% is no longer unlimited. Since the June 2025 revision it earns 7.5% on Myntra and 5% on Flipkart and Cleartrip, with each of those three merchants carrying its own ₹4,000-per-statement-quarter ceiling — the caps never pool, and any surplus is written off at quarter end. On top sits 4% on Axis's preferred merchants — a list the bank no longer publishes and can change at will, on which only Swiggy food delivery is named in its own T&C — and 1% everywhere else. The complimentary lounge access was withdrawn in the same revision, though the 1% fuel surcharge waiver survives. Still strong for committed Flipkart and Myntra shoppers, just with a ceiling now.

In-depth review

Axis Bank Flipkart Credit Card

Still one of India's best low-fee shopping cards for Flipkart-and-Myntra loyalists — now with a welcome 7.5% on Myntra — but the June 2025 devaluation ended the uncapped 5%, adding ₹4,000-per-quarter caps and removing lounge access. For the normal shopper who stays within the caps, it's excellent value for its ₹500 fee (waived at ₹3.5 lakh spend); for the heavy spender who loved the unlimited era, it's a real step down.

The concern

Outside Flipkart, Myntra and the preferred merchants the card earns a pedestrian 1% — and the preferred-merchant list is unpublished and revocable, so even that 4% is not a promise. It is a single-purpose tool, not an all-rounder.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 5% Flipkart cashback unlimited?
No — since the June 2025 revision each merchant is capped at ₹4,000 a statement quarter, or about ₹16,000 a year each. Flipkart binds at ₹80,000 of quarterly spend, Myntra at ₹53,333. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 1% on everyday spends — percentages here are cashback as a share of spend, credited to the statement with no points to convert. It reaches 7.5% at Myntra, and only there. Figures as of October 2026.
Does the 5% apply to Flipkart Pay Later?
Not typically — the 5% applies to direct card payments on Flipkart. Verify with Axis for Pay Later eligibility.
Is there lounge access?
No — domestic lounge access was discontinued on June 20, 2025.
What earns 4%?
Axis's "preferred merchants" — a list the bank explicitly does not publish and can change at its discretion without notice. Its cashback T&C names only Swiggy, and there only food delivery counts; Instamart and Genie orders do not.
What cashback caps were added in 2025?
Quarterly caps of ₹4,000 on the accelerated 7.5%/5% earn were introduced in the June 2025 revision (previously the 5% was unlimited). Each merchant gets its own ₹4,000 ceiling — Flipkart, Myntra and Cleartrip never pool, and any surplus is written off when the statement quarter ends.
Are there any small-print limits on the cashback?
Three things trim it. Cashback is not paid at all on transactions under ₹100; it is rounded down on each individual transaction; and Flipkart Health purchases are carved out of the 5%. On a card built for small-ticket online shopping, the ₹100 floor and the round-down are the ones that add up.
How will Axis apply my payment across the outstanding balance from 28 August 2026?
From 28 August 2026 Axis clears a credit card payment in this order — fees and charges including taxes, then EMIs, then interest charges, then purchase transactions, and cash advances last. That swaps the final two: the order it replaced cleared cash advances fourth and purchases last. It only bites if you pay less than the full statement balance, because a part-payment now settles purchases before it reaches a cash advance — and Axis charges interest on a cash advance from the day of withdrawal, with no interest-free period, so the costliest balance is the one left outstanding longest. Paying the statement balance in full makes the order irrelevant.

The biggest single change: before 28 August 2026 it was 1.5% + GST; from then on, 3.5% + GST. Every event, dated and sourced, is in the Value Timeline on this page.

The bottom line

Post the June 2025 devaluation the Flipkart Axis is a good but no longer exceptional shopping card: the unlimited 5% is gone (now ₹4,000/quarter caps), the lounge access is gone, and it is not lifetime-free. The Myntra bump to 7.5% is a genuine plus for fashion spenders — but treat the caps as the real story.

How this page was built

Counted from this card’s own record: 4 earn rules, 2 of them capped, 3 paid only at named merchants, the spends listed as earning nothing and 1 recorded perk. The renewal fee is conditional — it is waived on a published spend target, so the fee you pay depends on what you spend.

Flipkart Axis Bank Super Elite Credit Card

The Super Elite is the SuperCoins sibling of the Flipkart Axis card — 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members (6 for non-Plus), 2 per ₹100 elsewhere, and welcome SuperCoins plus Lenskart/Gaana/YouTube trials. But the rewards are store credit, not cashback, there is no lounge access, and the top rate needs a paid Flipkart Plus membership.

→

Flipkart SBI Card

SBI's new Flipkart co-brand (₹500, launched August 2025) pays a headline 7.5% on Myntra and 5% on Flipkart, with 4% at four select merchants and 1% elsewhere — all as automatic cashback. It sits alongside the older Axis Flipkart card, which is still open. Excellent if you live inside the Flipkart-Myntra-Cleartrip ecosystem; ordinary if you don't.

→

IKEA Family Axis Bank Credit Card

Withdrawn: Axis has removed the IKEA Family card from its line-up — the product page is gone and there is no way to apply, so this is now a guide for existing holders. It was a lifetime-free IKEA co-brand earning Axis EDGE Reward Points — 3 per ₹100 at IKEA, 2 per ₹100 on dining, 1 per ₹100 elsewhere — plus IKEA Family perks and low-cost EMI. The earn was always modest (EDGE points are worth ₹0.20), but with no fee it was all upside for a regular IKEA shopper.

→

Axis Bank Shoppers Stop Credit Card

A single-store loyalty card built on the Shoppers Stop First Citizen programme — 20 First Citizen points per ₹200 on Exclusive brands (5% at Axis's published ₹0.50/point), 12 per ₹200 on every other brand in store, 2 per ₹200 elsewhere, plus a ₹2,250 welcome voucher stack. The points redeem only at Shoppers Stop, so it's a companion card for genuine regulars, not a daily driver.

Platform-specific cards reach 7.5–10% on Myntra, Flipkart and Swiggy, while SBI Cashback pays a flat 5% across every online merchant. Myntra Kotak Credit Card

No longer issued — reported withdrawn on 10 July 2025, with holders reported moved to the Kotak League Platinum or Zen Signature, neither of which carries the Myntra benefit that defined it. Myntra's own card store now lists the Flipkart Axis and Flipkart SBI cards; both match its 7.5% on Myntra, but cap the cashback by quarter where this card capped only the transaction.

Axis Bank Cashback Credit Card

A ₹1,000 online-cashback card with a tiered accelerated rate — up to 5% on most online spends and 7% on the top tier, capped at a generous ₹4,000 a month. But offline earns just 0.75%, there's no fuel surcharge waiver and no lounge access, so hold it as an online specialist rather than an all-rounder.

The 4X and 8X rates the card is marketed on are a Google Pay promotion on current-period spend that Axis explicitly disclaims. Dynamic currency conversion markup more than doubles to 3.5%

    1.5% + GST→3.5% + GST

Axis Bank raised the dynamic currency conversion mark-up from 1.5% to 3.5% plus GST. DCC applies when an overseas merchant offers to bill you in rupees instead of the local currency, and it stacks on top of the usual foreign-currency mark-up. Declining the rupee option at the terminal and paying in the local currency avoids the charge entirely.

New top late-payment slab of Rs 1,300 above Rs 50,000

Rs 1,200 on any total payment due above Rs 10,000→Rs 1,200 from Rs 10,001 to Rs 50,000; Rs 1,300 above Rs 50,000

Axis Bank added a fifth late-payment slab. Everything up to Rs 50,000 is unchanged, but a total payment due of more than Rs 50,000 now attracts Rs 1,300 instead of Rs 1,200. The same notice fixes the order in which a payment is applied to the outstanding: fees and charges including taxes first, then EMIs, interest, purchases and cash advances.

Tolls and road fees stop earning rewards; gift cards split into their own category

Axis Bank added bridge fees, road fees and tolls to the spends that earn nothing. Separately, gift card purchases move out of the Wallet spend category into a new Gift Card category; they already earned no rewards, and they continue to be excluded from spend-based fee waivers and milestone thresholds.

  2. ▼ RewardEffective 20 Jun 2025

Unlimited 5% ends — ₹4,000/quarter caps added; Myntra raised to 7.5%

    Unlimited 5% on Flipkart & Cleartrip; 1% on Myntra→5% Flipkart & 5% Cleartrip each capped ₹4,000/quarter; Myntra 7.5% capped ₹4,000/quarter

Effective 20 June 2025 the uncapped 5% ended: Flipkart and Cleartrip each keep 5% but capped at ₹4,000 per statement quarter, while Myntra was raised from 1% to 7.5% (also capped ₹4,000/quarter). Excluded categories are now identified by spend-category name (Utility, Rent, Wallet, etc.) rather than 4-digit MCC. Each merchant carries its own ₹4,000 ceiling — the surpluses are held separately and never pooled between Flipkart, Myntra and Cleartrip — so the ceiling is near ₹16,000 a year per merchant, against the previously uncapped upside.
