Flipkart Axis Bank Super Elite Credit Card

The Super Elite is the SuperCoins sibling of the Flipkart Axis card — 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members (6 for non-Plus), 2 per ₹100 elsewhere, and welcome SuperCoins plus Lenskart/Gaana/YouTube trials. But the rewards are store credit, not cashback, there is no lounge access, and the top rate needs a paid Flipkart Plus membership.

The Super Elite only makes sense if you are a Flipkart Plus member and a genuine Flipkart regular. The 12-SuperCoins-per-₹100 rate looks generous, but SuperCoins are store credit whose real value depends on gift-voucher availability, so treat it as roughly ₹6 per ₹100 of Flipkart spend, not ₹12. Off Flipkart the card is pedestrian — 2 SuperCoins per ₹100 — and there is no lounge access. If you want plain cashback on Flipkart and Myntra instead, the base [Flipkart Axis](/cards/axis-flipkart) card pays 5% and 7.5% as direct statement credit and is the simpler buy for most people.

Real cost (incl. 18% GST)₹590

Best forFor committed Flipkart Plus members who shop on Flipkart heavily and will actually redeem SuperCoins for gift vouchers — not for anyone who wants everyday cashback or lounge access.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members (6 for non-Plus), capped 300/150 per transaction
  • Welcome 500 SuperCoins plus Lenskart Gold, Gaana Plus and YouTube Premium trials
  • ₹500 fee waives at ₹2 lakh of annual spend
  • 2 SuperCoins per ₹100 on other spends

Cons

  • Rewards are Flipkart SuperCoins (store credit), not cashback — real value depends on gift-voucher availability
  • The headline 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 needs a paid Flipkart Plus membership; non-Plus earn half
  • No airport lounge access, domestic or international
  • 3.5% forex markup — not for international spends

Quick verdict: The Flipkart Axis Super Elite is a card for one specific person — a Flipkart Plus member who lives on Flipkart and will actually redeem SuperCoins for gift vouchers. For everyone else, the base Flipkart Axis card's direct cashback is simpler, more liquid, and usually worth more. The Super Elite's 12-SuperCoins-per-₹100 headline looks bigger than it spends, there is no lounge access, and the top rate is gated behind a paid Plus membership. Note too that Axis is no longer offering the Super Elite to new applicants — the base Flipkart card remains open — so this is now largely a guide for existing holders, whose card and accelerators continue unchanged.

The naming invites a straight comparison, so let's make it. The base Flipkart Axis card pays cashback — statement credit you can spend anywhere. The Super Elite pays SuperCoins — Flipkart's own store currency. That single difference decides almost everything about who should hold which.

How it earns

The structure is SuperCoins from top to bottom:

  • 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Flipkart Plus members, capped at 300 SuperCoins per transaction — or 6 per ₹100 capped at 150 if you're not a Plus member. The cap is halved along with the rate, which is easy to miss: most write-ups quote the 300 to everybody.
  • 2 SuperCoins per ₹100 on all other spends.

On top of that comes a welcome kit: 500 SuperCoins on activation, plus trial memberships — Lenskart Gold (a year), Gaana Plus and YouTube Premium (a few months each). The ₹500 annual fee waives at ₹2 lakh of spend in the year.

The number that catches the eye is "12 SuperCoins per ₹100." Read literally, that sounds like 12% back. It isn't — and understanding why is the whole point of this review.

What a SuperCoin is actually worth

SuperCoins are not cash. Their value depends entirely on how you redeem them.

The best case is 1 SuperCoin = ₹1, achieved by converting SuperCoins into a Flipkart gift voucher. But those vouchers are only intermittently available, and other redemptions — recharges, partner offers — pay far less, sometimes as little as ₹0.20 a coin.

A fair working value is around ₹0.50 per SuperCoin. At that rate, the 12-per-₹100 Flipkart earn is really worth about 6% in store credit — respectable, but not the 12% the label implies, and only if you shop enough on Flipkart to keep redeeming. The per-transaction cap also bites on large orders. It's reached at ₹2,500 of Flipkart spend in a single order — for Plus and non-Plus alike, since Axis halves the cap (300 → 150) in step with the rate — so one big purchase earns proportionally less than the same basket split across orders.

The Plus catch, and the no-lounge gap

Two things temper the pitch further. First, the headline rate needs a paid Flipkart Plus membership — without it you earn half (6 SuperCoins per ₹100). Second, there is no airport lounge access at all, domestic or international. The base Flipkart card lost its lounge access in 2025, and the Super Elite never had any; its "premium" budget goes to SuperCoins and welcome trials instead.

Several categories also earn nothing — EMI, gift cards, fuel, rent and wallet loads — which is standard for an Axis co-brand but worth knowing before you route bills through it.

Super Elite vs the base Flipkart Axis

This is the real decision, and it comes down to cashback-versus-SuperCoins.

Flipkart Axis (base)Flipkart Axis Super Elite
Fee₹500₹500
Flipkart5% cashback (₹4,000/qtr cap)12 SuperCoins/₹100 (Plus; 6 non-Plus)
Myntra7.5% cashback (₹4,000/qtr cap)—
Reward formStatement credit (liquid)SuperCoins (store credit)
Fee waiver₹3.5 lakh spend₹2 lakh spend
LoungeNoneNone

For most people the base card wins on liquidity alone: 5% cashback you can spend anywhere beats ~6% locked into Flipkart SuperCoins, and the base card adds a genuine 7.5% on Myntra that the Super Elite has no answer to. The Super Elite only pulls ahead for a Flipkart Plus member whose spending is so Flipkart-concentrated that SuperCoins are as good as cash to them — and who will diligently redeem for gift vouchers when they appear.

Who should hold it

The honest audience is narrow: a Flipkart Plus member who shops on Flipkart most weeks, is comfortable managing SuperCoins, and doesn't need lounge access from this card. For that person the ₹2 lakh waiver is easy and the SuperCoins pile up fast.

Everyone else is better served elsewhere. If you want cashback on Flipkart and Myntra, take the base Flipkart Axis card. If you want a strong everyday cashback card, the Axis ACE pays flat cashback on bills and everyday spends, but it's now closed to new applicants; the still-open lifetime-free Axis SUPERMONEY is the closest daily driver you can get today. And if you simply want a clean, low-fuss Axis card, the Axis Neo or Axis MyZone cover lifestyle spends without asking you to decode a store currency.

The bottom line

The Super Elite isn't a bad card — it's a specific one. Judge it as a SuperCoins engine for a committed Flipkart Plus shopper and it does its job. Judge it as an upgrade over the base Flipkart card and it mostly disappoints, because turning liquid cashback into store credit is a downgrade for anyone whose life isn't already centred on Flipkart. Know which shopper you are — and if you're shopping today, the base Flipkart card is the one Axis still opens to new applicants.

I have spent over a decade on Indian credit cards, mostly for the points and miles. I am a software engineer by profession, I hold and use the cards I write about, and I redeem through airline and hotel transfer partners: Avios, KrisFlyer, Flying Blue, Air India Maharaja Club, Accor ALL, Marriott Bonvoy and Taj. What I write about is what a card is actually worth after the fine print, the caps and exclusions that decide the real return, and the changes issuers make quietly. No paid placements.

Frequently asked questions

How is the Super Elite different from the base Flipkart Axis card?
The base Flipkart Axis card pays direct cashback — 5% on Flipkart, 7.5% on Myntra (each capped at ₹4,000/quarter) — credited as statement credit. The Super Elite instead pays Flipkart SuperCoins: 12 per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members (6 for non-Plus) and 2 per ₹100 elsewhere. Cashback is more liquid than SuperCoins, so for most people the base card is the simpler, more valuable buy.
What is a Flipkart SuperCoin worth?
At best 1 SuperCoin = ₹1 when you redeem for a Flipkart gift voucher, but those vouchers are only intermittently available. Redeemed for recharges the rate falls to about ₹0.20 a coin. A realistic working value is around ₹0.50, which halves the apparent 12% Flipkart rate to nearer 6%.
Do I need Flipkart Plus for the top rate?
Yes — the headline 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart applies to Flipkart Plus members. Non-Plus cardholders earn 6 SuperCoins per ₹100, and their per-transaction cap is halved too: 150 SuperCoins rather than the 300 a Plus member gets. Both ceilings bind at the same point, ₹2,500 of Flipkart spend in a single order.
Does the Super Elite have airport lounge access?
No — the Super Elite has no domestic or international airport lounge access. Its extras are the welcome SuperCoins and trial memberships (Lenskart Gold, Gaana Plus, YouTube Premium), not travel perks.
What is the fee and how is it waived?
The joining and annual fee are ₹500 each. The annual fee is waived on ₹2 lakh of spend in the previous year.
