Pros & cons
✓ Pros
- Lifetime-free virtual card on RuPay, so it works on UPI
- 1% on SalarySe-UPI spends, rising to 2% on monthly spend above ₹20,000
- A salary-day burst worth about 5% on the 1st and last of the month
- 1% fuel surcharge waiver on ₹400–₹3,000 fills, up to ₹300 a statement cycle
✕ Cons
- SCoins are worth ₹0.20 each — the headline "37.5% / 10% / 5%" are points rates, not cash returns
- UPI through other apps and CUB's base categories (rent, insurance, education, telecom, government, bill payments, tolls) earn just 0.2%
- Any payment under ₹2,000 at a small offline merchant, SalarySe UPI included, earns only the 0.2% base, with no salary-day bonus; CUB does not define a small merchant
- The salary-day bonus needs ₹5,000 of other spend first and counts only ₹15,000 per cycle
- Monthly SCoins outside the salary-day bonus are capped at 10% of your credit limit, counted in SCoins — 10,000 (about ₹2,000) on a ₹1 lakh limit
- The 12 lounge visits require the paid physical card (₹500 + GST joining and again from year 2)
- SCoins expire after 18 months and can only be redeemed inside the SalarySe app

Realistic value per point by redemption route — the difference is what most people leave on the table.
Most common; lowest value
Higher value on travel bookings
The advertised "37.5% / 10% / 5%" are SCoins per ₹100, not cash — at 5 SCoins to the rupee they are 7.5% / 2% / 1%, and the top rate needs the paid physical card. Base spend, including SalarySe-UPI payments under ₹2,000 at small shops, earns 0.2%.

The bottom line
A free UPI card with one genuinely good trick and a lot of asterisks. Read in cash rather than SCoins, it pays 1% on SalarySe-UPI and online card spends, 2% above ₹20,000 a month, and around 5% on the two salary days up to a ₹15,000 cap — worth roughly ₹750 a month at full stretch. UPI through other apps, SalarySe-UPI payments under ₹2,000 at small shops and the base categories earn 0.2%. The 12 lounge visits belong to the paid physical variant, not this one. Good as a free companion card for a salaried user who will play the app's game; thin otherwise.
