The concern

Reward Points stay inside the Apollo ecosystem and general spends earn just 0.5%, so outside Apollo the card barely earns; there is also no lounge or travel benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Who benefits most from the Apollo SBI Card?
Regular Apollo Pharmacy and Apollo hospital/clinic users. 3X points and up to 10% instant discount apply to Apollo services; general spends earn just 0.5%.
How do the Reward Points work?
1 RP = Re. 1, convertible to Apollo Health Credits and redeemable instantly at Apollo POS terminals. Value is tied to the Apollo ecosystem. In effective-return terms this card's best everyday earn is 2% on dining, against 0.5% on other spends — percentages here are the real return after converting points at their card-specific value, not the headline points-per-₹100. It reaches 3% at Apollo 24|7, Apollo Pharmacy, Apollo Hospitals & Clinics, and only there. Figures as of October 2026.
Is the annual fee waivable?
Yes. The Rs. 499 renewal fee is waived if your annual spends in the previous year are Rs. 1 lakh or more. The renewal fee is ₹499 plus 18% GST — ₹589 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Spending ₹1,00,000 in the card year waives the renewal fee — about ₹8,333 a month.
