Pros and cons
Pros
- 25 Reward Points per Rs.100 (~6.25%) at Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop and EasyBuy
- Domestic and international lounge access with complimentary Priority Pass membership
- 12,000 welcome points (Rs.3,000) plus 20,000 bonus points (Rs.5,000) on Rs.5 lakh annual spend
- Points redeem instantly in-store at Landmark brands at 4 points to the rupee
Cons
- Rewards value only Rs.0.25 each and are most useful only at Landmark Group stores
- Base rate is a thin 2 RP per Rs.100 (~0.5%); fuel, rent, government, gaming, wallet and EMI earn nothing
- High Rs.2,999 fee with no spend-based reversal — only worthwhile for regular Landmark shoppers
Quick verdict: The Landmark Rewards SBI Card PRIME is a premium co-brand aimed squarely at Landmark Group loyalists. If Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max and Spar are where your family shops, the ~6.25% there, the 20,000-point milestone (₹5,000) at ₹5 lakh of annual spend and the lounge access make the ₹2,999 fee easy to justify. The 12,000-point welcome (₹3,000) lands once, on paying the annual fee — it is not part of the recurring maths. If they aren't, the 0.5% base rate, ₹0.25 point value and lack of any fee reversal make this an expensive card you won't earn back.
The Landmark Group runs Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop and EasyBuy — fashion, home and grocery retail with a big footprint across Indian malls. This card exists to reward people who spend there regularly, and like every co-brand, its value collapses the moment you step outside that ecosystem. Let me lay out both sides honestly.
What it earns
Rewards are SBI Reward Points, where 4 points = ₹1 (₹0.25 each):
- 25 Reward Points per ₹100 (~6.25%) at online and retail Landmark stores
- 10 Reward Points per ₹100 (~2.5%) on dining, movies and international spends
- 2 Reward Points per ₹100 (~0.5%) on other retail purchases
The 6.25% at Landmark stores is a genuinely high rate — one of the better single-ecosystem returns you'll find. And redemption is refreshingly simple: points redeem instantly in-store at Landmark brands. But the base rate on everything else is a thin 0.5%, and fuel, rent, government, gaming, wallet loads and EMI earn nothing. This is a card that rewards concentration at Landmark, full stop.
The bonuses and perks
The surrounding package is where the "premium" label is earned:
- Welcome: 12,000 bonus Reward Points (worth ₹3,000) on paying the annual fee.
- Milestone: 20,000 bonus Reward Points (worth ₹5,000) on ₹5 lakh of annual retail spend.
- Lounge: 8 domestic visits a year (2 per quarter) plus a complimentary Priority Pass membership
with 4 international visits a year.
- Fuel: a 1% surcharge waiver (₹500–₹3,000 transactions, up to ₹250 per cycle).
The welcome points alone (₹3,000) cover about 85% of the ₹3,539 all-in fee in year one. Hit the ₹5 lakh milestone and you're collecting another ₹5,000 in points — ₹8,000 of bonus value before you count everyday earning or lounge access. That's a strong package for a committed Landmark shopper.
The honest catch
One thing to weigh carefully: unlike SBI's Reliance co-brands, the slice lists no spend-based fee reversal for this card. You pay the ₹2,999 each year regardless. So your break-even leans entirely on the welcome/milestone points and the perks — which is fine at high Landmark spend, and a losing trade at low spend. Run the maths against your actual Lifestyle/Home Centre budget before applying.
Who it is wrong for
Skip this card if:
- Your shopping is spread across many retailers — the 0.5% base rate punishes breadth.
- You want flexible rewards — points really only work as Landmark store credit.
- You won't clear meaningful Landmark spend — with no fee reversal, a low spender simply loses the ₹2,999.
For a broadly useful premium card, the SBI Card PRIME is the more sensible general option. And within the Landmark family, the SELECT (₹1,499) or the entry Landmark card (₹499) are cheaper ways in if your spend is moderate.
6.25% in one place, 0.5% everywhere else
At 25 Reward Points per ₹100 — about 6.25% — inside Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max, Spar, Baby Shop and EasyBuy, this is one of the highest single-merchant rates on SBI's shelf. It is a genuinely strong number, and it is also the entire argument for the card. Step outside the Landmark group and the 10X band, and the rate falls to 2 Reward Points per ₹100 — about 0.5%. There is no middle ground.
The milestone reinforces the same shape: 20,000 bonus Reward Points on ₹5 lakh of annual retail spend, worth ₹5,000 at four points to the rupee. That covers the ₹2,999 fee with room to spare — but there is no spend-based fee waiver on this card, so the milestone is the mechanism, and ₹5 lakh is the bar.
Read the exclusions against that bar: fuel, rent, government payments, online gaming, wallet loads and EMI conversions earn nothing, so ₹5 lakh means ₹5 lakh of qualifying retail spend. And the 10X band covers international spends at 2.5%, which against the 3.50% forex markup is still about 1% net negative — the lounge access and Priority Pass make this look like a travel card, but the forex maths does not.
The bottom line
The Landmark Rewards SBI Card PRIME is a well-stocked loyalty card for one specific shopper: the Landmark Group regular who will use the 6.25% earn, clear the ₹5 lakh milestone, and value the lounge access. For that person it is a clear, rational hold. For everyone else, the thin base rate, ₹0.25 points, Landmark-only redemption and absent fee reversal make it a premium fee you won't recoup. Decide by looking at one number — how much you actually spend at Lifestyle, Home Centre, Max and Spar in a year. If it's large, this card is easy money; if it's not, step down to the SELECT or base card, or skip the ecosystem entirely.
