Pros and cons
Pros

Cons
- Best value is locked to Titan and Tanishq brands — narrow for non-jewellery buyers
- Outside Titan stores the rate is a flat 6 Reward Points per Rs. 100 (~1.5%) at Rs. 0.25/point, capped at 6,000 points a month
- Rs. 2,999 fee needs Rs. 3 lakh spend to reverse; milestone vouchers need Rs. 5 lakh+
- Fuel, wallet loads, rent, utilities and government spends earn nothing
- Reward Points expire 24 months after they are earned
Quick verdict: A lifestyle co-brand built around the Titan group — up to 7.5% cashback at World of Titan and the watch/eyewear brands, 5% at Mia/CaratLane/Zoya, 3% vouchers at Tanishq, plus 8 domestic and 4 international lounge visits. Superb if you buy jewellery, watches and eyewear from Titan; a modest 1.5% base if you don't. This is a targeted card, not an everyday all-rounder — judge it purely on how much you shop the Titan brands.
The Titan SBI Card is unapologetically a brand card. It exists to reward people who spend inside the Titan universe — Tanishq for jewellery, CaratLane and Mia for lighter pieces, World of Titan and Sonata for watches, Titan Eye+ for eyewear, Fastrack and Skinn for accessories and fragrance. Read it through that lens and it makes sense; read it as a general premium card and the numbers disappoint.
The brand cashback is the whole point
Here is where the value lives, and all of it is quarterly-capped:
- 7.5% cashback at World of Titan, Taneira, Titan Eye+, Helios, Fastrack, Skinn, Irth and Sonata.
- 5% cashback at Mia, CaratLane and Zoya.
- 3% value back as gift vouchers at Tanishq.
For a household that buys a Tanishq piece for a wedding, updates eyewear at Titan Eye+, and picks up the occasional watch, these rates are excellent and can repay the fee on a single large purchase. The quarterly caps mean you can't game an unlimited jewellery spree for infinite cashback, but for normal buying patterns they rarely bind.
Everything else earns thinly
Away from the Titan brands, the card is ordinary:
- 6 Reward Points per ₹100 (~1.5%) on every category outside Titan stores, capped at 6,000 points — ₹1,500 — a month.
At 4 Reward Points = ₹1 (₹0.25 per point), that 1.5% is modest, the cap binds at ₹1 lakh a month of non-Titan spend, and fuel, wallet loads, rent, utilities and government spends earn nothing at all. Points also expire 24 months after you earn them. So as a card you reach for at every merchant, this underwhelms — it is built to be pulled out at Titan counters, not everywhere.
You may see it claimed — including on SBI's own product page — that the Titan card pays 10 points per ₹100 on chemist, pharmacy, sports, dining and movies. We do not carry that, and here is why. SBI's Titan T&C says twice, in section 11.3 and again in the capping section, that every spend outside Titan stores earns 6 points per ₹100 on all categories; the word "chemist" does not appear in the document at all, and the card-specific Privileges panel on the same product page agrees with the T&C. The carousel that says 10 points also advertises a Tata Card SELECT benefit and reproduces the SBI Card PRIME rate structure, so it is demonstrably carrying another card's copy. The regulatory document wins.
Fees, welcome and lounges
The ₹2,999 fee is reversed on ₹3 lakh of annual spend. You get a solid welcome benefit — 12,000 Reward Points worth ₹3,000 on paying the fee — which covers about 85% of the ₹3,539 all-in year-one fee. Beyond that, milestone gift vouchers of ₹5,000 at ₹5 lakh and ₹10,000 at ₹10 lakh of annual spend, both redeemable only at Titan stores.
Travel perks are genuinely premium for the price: 8 domestic lounge visits a year (max 2 per quarter) and 4 international visits (max 2 per quarter) via complimentary Priority Pass for the first two years. Note one gap for a "lifestyle" card — the forex markup is the standard 3.5%, so this is not one to carry abroad for spending.
Who should hold it — and who shouldn't
Get it if you are a committed Titan-group customer, especially if a large jewellery or watch purchase is on the horizon; the brand cashback and milestone vouchers turn a planned Tanishq or CaratLane spend into meaningful savings, and the lounge access is a real bonus at this fee.
Skip it if your spending is spread across the open market. The modest 1.5% base and category exclusions make it a mediocre primary card; a flat-cashback option like the SBI Cashback or an ecosystem card like the Tata Neu Infinity SBI will out-earn it for general use. Treat the Titan SBI Card as a specialist you hold alongside an everyday card, not a replacement for one.
The bottom line
The Titan SBI Card is a sharply targeted lifestyle card: outstanding value for Titan, Tanishq and CaratLane loyalists — particularly around a big jewellery or watch purchase — and a strong lounge package for the fee. But its base earning is only average and several everyday categories earn nothing, so it only makes sense as a brand-loyalty card. Match it to your actual Titan spending and it can be excellent; buy it for the badge and it will disappoint.
