In-depth review
Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card
10% back across the entire Swiggy super-app — food delivery, Instamart, Dineout — for a ₹500 fee, and it came through 2026's HDFC devaluations untouched (with a handy new 5% Cleartrip benefit added). For a regular Swiggy household the fee pays for itself in weeks. The one risk is total app dependence; pair it with a good general card.

Should you get it?
- Best for: Swiggy app power user (food + Instamart), Urban resident ordering 5+ times per week, Instamart quick commerce for groceries, Does not want to track multiple apps — Swiggy-first household
- Mid tier — a solid all-rounder for steady monthly spend.
- Strongest value if you spend heavily on everyday spends (1% back; 10% only at Swiggy app (Food, Instamart, Dineout)).
Pros & cons
✓ Pros
- 10% back on entire Swiggy app — food delivery + Instamart quick commerce + Dineout restaurant bookings all earn 10%
- ₹7,000/month Swiggy spend earns ₹8,400/year — the fee pays for itself in 3 weeks of normal Swiggy usage
- Annual fee waived at ₹2L spend — Swiggy regulars hit this by April
- Works across the full Swiggy super-app: food, groceries, dining out
✕ Cons
- 10% capped at ₹1,500/month — max annual benefit from Swiggy is ₹18,000 regardless of spend above ₹15,000/month
- Non-Swiggy spend earns only 1% — this is a dedicated Swiggy card, not an all-rounder
- The 5% is allow-listed by MCC, not "all online" — anything off the list earns the 1% base
- Paying a Swiggy order out of Swiggy Money earns nothing; Swiggy Liquor and Minis are excluded too
- Fuel, rent, government payments, wallet and gift-card loads, jewellery and all EMI earn nothing
- If you split food delivery between Swiggy and Zomato, Axis ACE (4% on both) may earn more overall
Eligibility & documents
This is the figure for salaried applicants. Where HDFC Bank sets a separate one for the self-employed, its own eligibility page gives it.
How to redeem rewards
Ways to convert what you earn into real value.
- 🎁Cashback credited as statement credit automatically — no points to redeem
- 🎁5% Cleartrip travel benefit on the Swiggy app
What your Cashback are worth
Realistic value per point by redemption route — the difference is what most people leave on the table.
Direct cash adjustment — no conversion
Value is 100% hostage to one app — a Swiggy price hike, a Zomato exclusive in your area, or a cap cut guts the card overnight.

The bottom line
For a Swiggy regular this is close to ideal: 10% across the whole Swiggy app under one ₹1,500 cap is a lot of value on a ₹500 fee, and it sidestepped the 2026 cuts. Just note the new ₹249-minimum-per-transaction rule and that the 10% and 5% live under separate caps.
How this page was built
Counted from this card’s own record: 3 earn rules, 3 of them capped, 2 paid only at named merchants and the spends listed as earning nothing. The renewal fee is conditional — it is waived on a published spend target, so the fee you pay depends on what you spend.

Best Credit Cards for Swiggy and Zomato in India (2026): The Real Earn Rates
Swiggy and Zomato spend adds up fast. Here's which cards actually earn well on food delivery in 2026 — including the UPI earn trap most guides miss, and when the dedicated co-branded card beats a general cashback card.
Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card
10% back across the entire Swiggy super-app — food delivery, Instamart, Dineout — for a ₹500 fee, and it came through 2026's HDFC devaluations untouched (with a handy new 5% Cleartrip benefit added). The Best Credit Card in India 2026: Why There Is No Single Answer — and How to Find Yours
There is no one best credit card in India. The right card depends on where you actually spend, how much you spend, and how you redeem. This guide teaches you the three forces behind every recommendation, walks each spending category, and shows how mid-to-high spenders build a portfolio — so you can choose for yourself instead of being handed a card.
Swiggy Ornge HDFC Bank Credit Card
The entry tier of HDFC's split Swiggy card — 5% cashback on the Swiggy app plus 5% on select online brands, but the two 5% streams share a single ₹1,500/month cap, then 1% elsewhere. Cashback is now direct statement credit, and a free 12-month Swiggy One membership can cover the ₹500 fee on its own. A clean, low-fee pick for a genuinely Swiggy-first spender.
Swiggy BLCK HDFC Bank Credit Card
The premium tier of HDFC's 2026 Swiggy split — 10% cashback on the Swiggy app (capped ₹1,500/month), the best food-delivery rate going and matched only by the original ₹500 Swiggy HDFC card, plus 5% on select online under its own second ₹1,500 cap. But it carries a ₹1,000 fee with no airport lounge access at all, an unusual gap, and the Mastercard golf benefit widely credited to it appears in no HDFC document. Pair it with a lounge card and it earns its keep; lighter users are better off with the ₹500 Ornge.
HSBC Live+ Credit Card
Built for one very 2020s pattern — the urban household whose statement is a scroll of Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, BigBasket, shopping and bill payments. Since the 26 July 2026 revamp it pays a flat 10% on all of that — the widest 10% basket in India — wrapped around a 1.5% base and a 1.99% forex markup. If your spending looks like that, this is your card. The only thing holding it back is the ₹1,200 shared monthly cap, which a moderate quick-commerce habit exhausts quickly.
IRCTC HDFC Bank Credit Card
A RuPay railway co-brand built for one job: 5 Reward Points per ₹100 (~5% at the ₹1 point value) on IRCTC train bookings, plus a 1% transaction-charge waiver, IRCTC Executive railway-station lounges (8/year) and ₹500 quarterly milestone vouchers, on a ₹500 fee that waives at ₹1.5 lakh. Where you actually book rail on IRCTC, it earns hard; everywhere else it earns a capped 1% in points you can only spend on rail. Its whole case rests on how often you take the train.
HDFC Millennia Credit Card
The Millennia solves the Amazon-or-Flipkart dilemma by paying 5% on both — and on Swiggy and Zomato, Myntra and Tata CLiQ — ten brands at once, for a ₹1,000 fee that waives at a trivial ₹1 lakh. It came through 2026's HDFC devaluation untouched. The catch is a ~₹1,000 monthly cap that makes it superb for the moderate online spender and inefficient once your partner spending runs past ~₹20,000 a month.
Best Credit Cards for Online Shopping in India 2026
Platform-specific cards reach 7.5–10% on Myntra, Flipkart and Swiggy, while SBI Cashback pays a flat 5% across every online merchant. This guide separates the best broad online rate from the best rate available online — they are not the same card — and covers the caps and exclusions that decide which one you should actually hold.

Genie drops out of the 10% Swiggy cashback
Food ordering, Instamart, Genie and Dineout→Food ordering, Instamart and Dineout
HDFC's revised card T&C, published 18 September 2026, lists the 10% as "Swiggy App (Food ordering, Instamart & Dineout)" in §2.2. The April 2026 version read "Food ordering, Instamart, Genie & Dineout", so Genie parcel deliveries no longer earn the 10%. Caps and the ₹249 minimum are unchanged.

Card phased out: holders move to Swiggy Ornge or Swiggy BLCK
HDFC is phasing the Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card out for every holder, with notices going out in phases until March 2027. Holders choose the Swiggy BLCK card (10% on Swiggy, ₹1,000 a year, first year free for a holder who pays a fee now) or the Swiggy Ornge card (5% on Swiggy, lifetime free for every moved holder); a holder who does not respond is moved to Ornge after at least 30 days' notice. The fee anniversary restarts and the card number changes, and the old card stops at the first use of the new one, after 60 days, or at its expiry. HDFC's own files date the process to September (migration terms dated 18-09-2026, both FAQs published on 30 September 2026); the exact start is not published. Rated a devaluation because both routes cost a heavy Swiggy user: the default halves the Swiggy rate, and the route that keeps 10% costs ₹1,000 a year.

- ▼ FeeEffective 15 May 2026
Dynamic currency conversion markup raised to 1.75%
1% markup→1.75% markup
HDFC's MITC: "Dynamic currency conversion Markup Fee: With effect from 15th May 2026, a Markup fee of 1.75% will be levied on all transactions carried out in Indian Currency at an international location or at merchants which are located in India but registered overseas." This is separate from, and stacks on top of, the card's ordinary foreign-currency markup. It is the charge you pay for accepting a terminal's offer to bill you in rupees while abroad - always decline that offer and pay in the local currency. It also catches India-based purchases from merchants registered overseas, which is easy to trigger without leaving the country. The PIXEL MITC dates the same change 17 May 2026.

₹249 minimum per Swiggy transaction for 10% cashback
₹100 per transaction→₹249 per transaction
HDFC's T&C §4.1: "W.e.f. from 21st April 2026" each Swiggy-app transaction must be ₹249 or more to earn the 10% cashback, up from a ₹100 minimum; the 5% online and 1% base tiers keep the ₹100 floor. Caps unchanged.

Cashback starts adjusting within the same billing cycle
Credited in the following billing cycle→Adjusted within the same billing cycle
HDFC's T&C §4.2 dates this change "w.e.f. 18th April 2026" — a day after the Cleartrip addition and three days before the ₹249 minimum. A small but real improvement: cashback now offsets the balance you are about to pay rather than the next one.
