Kotak League Platinum Credit Card

Once a quietly smart low-fee pick for the urban movie-and-dining crowd, the Kotak League Platinum was knocked down a peg by a June 2025 devaluation (redemption minimums and category caps). Reward points are now worth up to ₹0.10 (less on cash), giving an effective rate of about 0.5% at best — 4 points per ₹150 base, 8 per ₹150 above ₹2 lakh of annual spend. The movie benefit is milestone-based (4 PVR tickets or 10,000 reward points per ₹1.25 lakh of spend every six months), not a monthly perk, and there is no lounge access. The ₹499 fee waives at ₹50,000. Hold it only if you will clear the milestone; otherwise a flat-cashback card serves you better.

Frequently asked questions

What is the annual fee for the Kotak League Platinum Credit Card?
The annual fee is Rs 499, which is waived on annual spends of Rs 50000. The renewal fee is ₹499 plus 18% GST — ₹589 all-in, which is the figure that actually hits the statement. Spending ₹50,000 in the card year waives the renewal fee — about ₹4,167 a month. Figures as of October 2026.
What is the foreign currency markup?
The foreign currency markup is 3.5% on international transactions. On this card the foreign-currency markup is 3.5%, and 18% GST applies on the markup fee, so the effective cost is about 4.13% of the transaction. On ₹1,00,000 of overseas spend that works out to roughly ₹4,130 in conversion charges before any rewards offset. Figures as of October 2026.
Is there a fuel surcharge waiver?
Yes — a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions of Rs 500 to Rs 4,000, up to Rs 3,500 per year.
What is the minimum age and income to apply?
Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a minimum income of Rs 5 lakh per year (about Rs 41,667 per month). The issuer's published income bar for this card works out to ₹41,667 a month (its salaried figure, where it sets a separate one for the self-employed), and its published age band is 21–60. Treat it as necessary rather than sufficient: credit score, existing exposure and banking relationship all sit on top of any income number. Figures as of October 2026.

→

Kotak UPI RuPay Credit Card

A lifetime-free, virtual-only RuPay card built for one job: putting a credit line behind your UPI QR payments. Link it to Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm and scan-and-pay from a credit line, earning 3 reward points per ₹100. Be clear-eyed on value, though — Kotak points are worth about ₹0.10 (₹0.07 as cash since June 2025), so the effective return is a thin ~0.3%, and a long exclusion list earns nothing. A convenience card, not a rewards engine.

→

PVR INOX Kotak Credit Card

A single-purpose entertainment card for frequent movie-goers — one free PVR INOX ticket (worth up to ₹300) per ₹10,000 band of monthly spend, uncapped, plus 5% off tickets, 20% off food and beverages, and in-cinema lounge access. What it does not give is base reward points — Kotak publishes no earn rate for it — while the ₹499 renewal fee has no spend waiver, booking fees and taxes stay payable on a 'free' ticket, and rent/wallet/gaming spends do not count. Hold it for the movies, and pair it with a rewards card for everything else.

→

Kotak Cashback+ Prime Credit Card

The flagship of Kotak's Cashback+ family, and one of the few Kotak cards worth holding for rewards rather than credit access — because its cashback is real ₹1-a-point value rather than reward points. It earns 5% on online grocery, food delivery and entertainment (plus auto dealers), 3% on fuel and 0.5% on everything else. The catch is the cap: the 5% bucket is limited to 750 points (₹750) per billing cycle across all those categories combined.

→

IndianOil Kotak Credit Card

A low-fee fuel co-brand built around IndianOil pumps — up to 5% value back on IndianOil fuel (4% as reward points plus a 1% surcharge waiver), 2% on grocery and dining, and a bit on UPI since it is a RuPay card. But the 4% fuel reward is capped at 1,200 points a statement, the points are worth ~₹0.25 via the portal (less as cash), and off-fuel earning is thin. Hold it for the IndianOil fuel, not as an everyday card.

→

Myntra Kotak Credit Card

No longer issued — reported withdrawn on 10 July 2025, with holders reported moved to the Kotak League Platinum or Zen Signature, neither of which carries the Myntra benefit that defined it. There's no live card to recommend. Myntra's own card store now lists the Flipkart Axis and Flipkart SBI cards; both match its 7.5% on Myntra, but cap the cashback by quarter where this card capped only the transaction.

→

RBL Bank Fun+ Credit Card

A movie-led entry card whose real benefit is a ₹500 BookMyShow voucher each month you spend ₹5,000, plus 10% off (max ₹100) on movie bookings — worth up to ₹6,000+ a year for a moviegoer who clears the spend. It's a ₹499 card (waived at ₹1.5 lakh), not lifetime-free, and its base earn is thin reward points, not the '3% online cashback' often quoted. Hold it for the movie benefit and pair it with a proper cashback card.

→

IndiGo XL Kotak Credit Card

The premium tier of the Kotak x IndiGo co-brand — 8 domestic lounge visits a year, up to 16,000 milestone BluChips, and 5 BluChips per ₹100 from the card on direct IndiGo bookings. Kotak advertises 'up to 21', but IndiGo's own split puts 12 of those on booking through IndiGo's channels and 4 on Blu 1 tier status, both earned with any card. Off IndiGo earning is a thin 2–3 per ₹100, and the ₹3,000 fee has no simple spend waiver — the welcome and renewal vouchers offset it instead.

→

Kotak Zen Signature Credit Card

Domestic and international lounge access at a ₹1,500 fee, waived at a clearable spend — genuinely strong value for a Kotak account holder who travels. The June 2025 devaluation softened it (lounges now spend-gated at ₹75k/quarter, some categories capped), so it's "decent with conditions" now. Judge it on the perks you'll use, not the points — worth ₹0.25 against the catalogue but only ₹0.20 in cash after the June 2025 cut.

→

Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card

The flagship of Kotak's Air travel family — and, refreshingly, a Kotak card whose currency has real value: 1 Air Mile = ₹1 for flights and hotels booked on Kotak's Unbox portal. It earns 5 Air Miles per ₹100 on Unbox travel and 2 per ₹100 everywhere else (~2% base), with 3,000 welcome and 3,000 renewal miles that each cover about 85% of the ₹3,540 all-in fee, a low 2% forex markup and lounge access. Its ceiling is that value is best inside Kotak Unbox.

→

Kotak Solitaire Credit Card

An invite-only travel card for Kotak's ₹75-lakh-relationship crowd — zero forex, unlimited domestic and international lounges, and Air Miles worth a real ₹1 each on travel (10 per ₹100 on Kotak Unbox bookings, 3 per ₹100 elsewhere). No fee while you stay in the program, but a ₹25,000 downgrade clause and a wide no-earn exclusions list keep it honest. A genuinely good card for the few who are invited to it.

→

Kotak Privy League Signature Credit Card

Discontinued: Kotak has stopped sourcing this card and its product page is now headed '(Discontinued)' — so this is a guide for existing holders. For them it remains a serviceable relationship card: a choice of Shopper's or Traveller's reward plans and lounge access. The often-quoted ₹1,000-a-month milestone worth 6,400 points a quarter is a paid-variant benefit only — Kotak restricts it explicitly. Shopping Kotak premium today?
